Pessac Cité Frugès [ MULTIGENERATIONAL HOUSE ]
This multigenerational house is settled in the heart of the «Cité Frugès» in Pessac drawn by Le Corbusier in 1924. The program includes common spaces where the three generations of the family can meet. Moreover, an isolated artist studio is planned and any member of the family can use it. The main challenge of this project is the particular form of the very narrow plot: 6 x 33m, which offer few possibilities for windows on the largest sides. A central patio, large terraces, double heights and light shafts set an all-day-long natural lighting in the project. The house had to respect the Le Corbusier architecture and at the same time it aims to create its own identity.

Bordeaux Le Grand Parc [ HOTEL / SPA ]
The «Grand Parc» is a Bordeaux’s district which joins the «Grands Ensembles» action led in France after the war. The project joins the North edge of the «Grand Parc» and aims to requalify the entrance towards the heart of the park. The former block, which supports the project; is a central element of this area. The project aims to enhance this block. The threshold between the block and the ground; which is a very sensible point, is rehabilitated with shops, cultural facilities and passages towards the heart of the park. The large square place is a flexible empty space, it can welcome any sorts of cultural events: open-air theater, café terraces and art exchanges.

Ferrara Via Bologna [ SCHOOL + CULTURAL CENTER ]
The project is situated in Ferrara where the 2012 earthquake made many damages to historical monuments. The project involves the rehabilitation and extension of an elementary school. Around the central public space are settled down a cultural center, an amphitheater and a district house. The new buildings match three central elements of the area : the existing school, a temple and a church. The project aims to create a continious line between these different buildings rythmed by glass, wood and old stone.

Bologna [ LA CHIESA ]
The project consists in the rehabilitation an old and disused church in Bologna city into a shopping area. Archway is the real identity of Bologna, they are present everywhere in the city. The project wants to respect them and make the most of them : archway is no longer a linear element, but it leads to the heart of the project. The building is an old church with an outside ruined aspect. It was impossible to settle the structure on the magnificent internal walls. The inside circulation is a prolongation of the the archway path. It leads to the basement where is the supermarket, and continuously serves the suspended metallic cubes which create a rhythm between full and empty.

Bordeaux Brazza docks [ NEW ARCHITECTURE SCHOOL ]
The project is settled on the right bank of the Garonne River which is at the center of a big rehabilitation project recently implemented. In fact, the municipality of Bordeaux wants to link these old docks to the downtown by establishing a new pole of development. The project of a new architecture school will be the first stone of a creative district to come. The project aims to relocate Bordeaux architecture school which was in the suburbs and thus giving it a privileged position on the Brazza’s docks, the very new urban dynamic area at the heart of Bordeaux.

The new architecture school have 5 different buildings : the student housing, the laboratories, the broadcating building, the classroom building and the administration building. The main realizations consist to create accessibilities and open spaces for the public: exhibition place, library, amphitheater. A large roof terrace is also created and represents a strategical point characterized by a overview of the city. The high capacity strcuture, is built as a cracked monolith. We go over this topographic building that connets the city ground and its sky.

PAU [ LA VILLE BASSE ]
The project aims to infiltrate the urban city by vegetation using vegetal paths connecting existing parks and green spaces. The big central park, the city’s breathing, is revealed by these vegetal paths. The project establish also a link with the river by a urban treatment of the riversides. The axes are reversed : new North/South axes are created to balanced the West/East existing ones. The project promotes the transverse axes which link the city to the hills and thus reveal the parks entries.

FERRARA [ TRAIN STATION AREA ]
Ferrara’s station discrict is a former industrial area which is now abandonned and disused. The project brings a vegetal central path which crosses over the old manufactures. These are turned into cultural and commercial facilities : shops, cinema, museum. The block’s heart becomes a vegetal and attractive pole. The edges are more mineral and welcome parkings.

SAINT ETIENNE [URBAN GATEWAY ]
The project area is currently in an intense process of urban rehabilitation, it aims to become the innovation district of Saint Etienne. The footbridge connects two strategic points : the two parks actually in rehabilitation process. In a sustainable process, the project refuses elevators access which include problems of costs, energy, monthly maintenance and security. The access are accessible ramps for disabled persons. The footbridge isn’t only about crossing the railway, it becomes a public space itself, which lives 24 hours a day. A dynamic place which integrate to the new becoming district. It also gives a global overview on the city, the district and on its important heritage buildings : the factories. A community center, bars, terraces are settled on the footbridge but it remain a modular space for welcoming others uses or particular events. The space can, for example, be invested by the crowd on a music festival and have a light and sound show.

DANTOKPA - COTONOU [THE 18 HA MARKET ]
The project is focus on the biggest West African market rehabilitation. Dantokpa is in the center of Cotonou, African city which shyly begins its development, nevertheless afflicted by the same problems of all the african modern cities: conflict between formality and informality, absence of adapted urban planning, saturated public space, loss of the traditional marks, flooding, density, networks... This 18 hectares market welcomes almost 100.000 people everyday. The project is a process of global/local treatment of a bunch of problems. Among them the environmental problems, density, precariousness, flooding, traffic and saturation. The most important aspect of this project isn’t the output but the process. It’s a detailed analysis of the context, including a precise observation of traditional customs and practices. The project offers global strategies locally applied, which develops consistent solutions in economical and technical terms. The project interconnects local knowledge, techniques, materials and practices culturally appropriate.

COTONOU RIVERBANKS [ SYSTEM D CITY - UTOPIAN ]
This project doesn’t intend to be build, it intend to make people think : how create, make public spaces in Africa ? What does mean «public space» in Africa? Does only the word «public space» have a meaning in the african background? Doesn’t this expression just fill into occidental concepts which applied in Africa don’t have anymore meaning? How can we only think to create public spaces when other social, politic, ecologic, economic issues seams as important or even more urgent. And who is going to pay for this public space? Subsidies? Or maybe the money is just going to disappear (Yes, we do talk about the corruption). These urgent issues aren’t only in Cotonou, in Benin, they exist everywhere in all big urban cities in Africa. Instead of creating one local solution, we wanted to create ideas, uses ; settle experiences lead by the population. Create a system which can work in Benin but also in all Africa. Space valued in uses and users not in its shape. We wanted to act, act and dream!

BANGKOK - AOM NOAM CANAL [ FLOODING HAZARDS ]
The research is focused on the way these various systems are capable to articulate within each environment, and applies itself on estimating the innovations both in the Field of urban planning and design and in the Field of governance that would favour an « eco-development » of the territory (Sachs, 1987). The crossed approach aims above all at highlighting the specificities of styles of development that each territory has generated, and its capacity to produce long lasting resilence mechanisms in front of Flood risks. Beyond the exploration of the mechanisms of fight against flood risks and of the stakes in urban planning on territories, the researchers wondered about the multi-purpose role that infrastructures dedicated to the regulation of water Flow scan potentially play in creating urban opportunities and in stimulating an economic, social and environmental diversity. They also got interested in the way the constructed forms, concieved as a composite whole embracing land use, transportation, built structures and density, are likely to include the management of water flows in all circumstances.
