NPO



Hello IFMSA Iraq family, my name is Ameer and I am a third year dentistry student at Rafidain University. I am also the project coordinator for antimicrobial resistance for the term 2020 2021 and the NPO's Developmental assistant on member engagement forthisterminSCOPH,andIamvery grateful for the opportunity to candidatehere.
When I initially joined IFMSA Iraq, I was overwhelmed with excitement because of the tremendous positive sensationsIhadinmyexcellentNMO because it gave me with a safe atmosphere to expand, study, acquire experience, share my thoughts without fear, and many other things, especially getting to knowandmakefriendswithsomany wonderful individuals. Thus, I determinedthatIneededtooffermy alltoraisethiscommunityinorderto become an active part of my communityandtoaspiretohelpthe world get to a better position where publichealthissuppliedeverywhere, and as a consequence, when I saw the call for the opportunity to candidateforthepositionoftheNPO, I knew it was my chance to become one of the wonderful IFMSA TOs, whom I had always admired and aspired to be like them, who will assistouramazingmembersintheir mesmerizing journey through IFMSA and build upon their capacities to become much more capacitated members within IFMSA, who will benefit our entire organization as well as it will be my means of improvingmyskillsandassistingmy NMOwiththeskillsandexperiencesI have, as well as aspiring to become the be a more important part in my NMO.
Additionally, I would be an asset to our NGO because I am motivated, passionate about public health, and hard working. I am also skilled in leadership, crisis management, time management, team dynamics, proposalwriting,andsessionmaking which I developed through SRTs (TNT, AMOC, SMART, and PHLT ) with this you got a good picture of me I amnotperfectImakemistakesbutI alwaystrytoacknowledgethemand learn from them because I believe whatawisemanoncesaidwhenwe stop learning we die so I will make suretokeeplearning

Our SCOPH team will consist of 2 developmental assistants one for members engagementandtheotherisforcapacitybuildingand2generalassistantsone ofthemwillberesponsibleforourexchangeprojectsaffairs
DACB will be responsible for hosting regular orientation meetings with the local officers to develop their skills ( activity management, time management, and crisis management ) while the DAME will provide them with the necessary skills to engage the members by providing them with good session design skills, presentationskillandnewenergizersideasforthesessions ToincreasebondingbetweenSCOPHteammemberswewillhaveSCOPHbuddy groups that are dedicated to sharing updates, playing games, and sending memesandfavoritesongssothatwealwaysstayintouch
Our GAs will be responsible for managing the Exchange affairs while keeping closecontactwiththelocalsandansweringtheirquestionswhenneeded To open an anonymous feedpack form for the members so that they could talk about the difficulties in regard to to SCOPH in their LCs and in regard to the nationalteam
CB:
IncollaborationwithCBDcollectdatafromeachmemberoftheSCOPHteamat the beginning of the term and provide them with the necessary competencies throughtraining
To create a database for SCOPH workshops graduates and increase their involvementinSCOPHwork
Propose a TPHT workshop to graduate public health trainers and keep close contact with them to deliver as many public health sessions as possible to increase their experience which will help in hosting more exchange projects deliveredbythem
ToworkwiththeCBDonadoptingagendasfornewSCOPHnationalworkshops Deliver 2 national SCOPH workshops (MHE, PHKa) in collaboration with CB through out term during the summer vacation With the NPO DACB work on standardization of sessions outline for our priorities sessions to help the Local officersinmakingtheirsessionsandincreasetheirinteractivity
Coordinate with the DAME the optimal time for opening observers seats for national team meetings so that we make sure that we have at least 2 meetingswithobserversbytheendoftheterm
and enjoyable for the members while providing the members with practical informationinregardtopublichealth
make gaming meetings in which we will discuss their ideas on public health whileplaying.
With the help of the assistants share all of IFMSA's international opportunities withadetailedexplanationofhowtoapplytothem Coordinate with the assistants to send feedback on rejected applicants in our nationaleventswhenitisneeded
To make a members engagement tracking sheet in which the DAME will take the acceptance sheet of all events of SCOPH to track the members who are constantly attending SCOPH activities and follow up with them and motivate themtoapplyformoreopportunities
Educate the Local officers on how to activate PHEx in their corresponding LCs and help provide them with the right information and resources to activate
Promote for PHEx before the call for exchangers

Based on the work of the last term SCOPH break will be an annual sustainable activity that will be enrolled internationally because of it is importance and impact
To work on enrolling 4 projects internationally with the help of the PSD accordingtoournationalprioritieswhichwillbedecided
To provide an easy requirement for a preliminary approval that will allow the LPOs to open the calls for their events before the approval of their proposal in caseofemergencies
To ease the process of making collaboration between two different standing committees by making that contact with the other standing committee a task oftheassistants
To work with the PSD on implementing the health and well being program by coordinating a meeting with PSDD and the health and well-being program coordinators and putting a timeline for the activities that need to be done to finishasmuchaspossiblethroughouttheterm.
TohaveanagendapointineachnationalmeetingontheSCOPHinternational updateinwhichwewilltalkaboutwhatishappeningrightnowanddiscussthe activities that are happening in other NMOs and internationally and find whetherwewillbenefitfromdoingsomethingsimilartotheminourNMO. Tocreateamembersdatabaseinwhichtheywillfindallthemanualstoolkits, outlines for already established sessions and other things, and a sheet for thingsthattheycouldhelpuswith
To make the main SCOPH database more user-friendly and easy to navigate bythelocalofficersandmembers
To publish a report every 3 months on all our official communication channels sothatthememberswillbeawareofalltheworkthatisbeingdone
During the beginning of the term, we will finish polishing the mental health watch system which is made using google forms to make sure that it will be fully confidential with no one having access to any of the answers besides the final scoring of the mental health which will be calculated and then sent automatically to the relevant person Our second step is entering a trial period
relevant TO will receive a scoring to measure the mental health of the respective. Each National officer and director will have his own copy of the form that no onewillhaveaccesstoitisscores

Internal
IncoordinationwithassistantsworkonmotivatingLPOstocollaboratebetween different LCs to increase experience transfer between the LC and encourage members to apply for more national opportunities to gain experience and improvecommunication.
Coordinate with the TOs to have more collaboration between the standing committees so we can have at least one collaborative session in each SCOPH camp
