WHERE I AM FROM I am from cloth smelling like flowers, from conditioner and sweetener. I am from the holiday house at the beach. Small, cozy, my little palace. I am from the beach breeze which freshened my summers. I'm from Sunday meetings and grandma's war stories, from Pérez and Iglesias. I'm from the family holidays and my uncle's good bye. From "Come on, study! and "Tidy your room! I'm from communions and weddings. I'm from my grandfather's beach. rice, cakes. From the childhood experiences my dad lived. The every hour my older sister spent studying, seeing all the pictures on the screen and from my family's help

Where I'm From I am from the blue closets, from baby's shampoo and Nintendos I am from the swimming pools. (Frozen, giant, that felt like ice). I am from the avocado tree, with leaves as big as my hands. I'm from cooking like a chef and computers. From Gemma and Julio. I'm from the restaurants and watching movies. From “I love you! “ and “Let's go to the library!” I'm from nothing, I don't know anything. I'm from Alcorcón and Carvajal's Branch, croissants, hummus. From the xylophone my father made, The bike my grandpa rode to bring me breakfast. In the village's house pictures that keep awake our past. BY IRIS LOZANO

"Where I am from" I am from the colorful slide, from “Goma Eva” and “Clips”. I am from the closet my grandma had black, wooden, that smelled like roses. I am from the pine my friend and I took care of. I am from taking care of my sister and picking up my brother, I am from Ana and Víctor. I am from the eyeglasses and from my father’s big t-shirts, from “Switch off the light!” and “Eat all the food!”. I am from religion and atheism. I am from Alcorcón and Merino’s family green beans, fried corn. From the death of my mum’s brother and the arm that my aunt lost working. I am from all the photos on my house wall, where all my memories are sleeping.

I am from the clocks and the minerals From the scientists and the artists I am from the yellow walls and alive portraits talkative, musical, comfortable. I am from lavanders and roses bright and beautiful I'm from '' Let's go to Madrid" and wondering around its old streets From Yolanda and Javier I'm from the film at night and the huge breakfast at the weekends I'm from atheist atmosphere and the lack of God representations I'm from Leรณn and Huelva branches coffee and gazpacho From the many times my mum lost her glasses The stories my dad told me when I couldn't sleep a board full of ole and new pictures reminding me of all my family stories.

WHERE I AM FROM I am from a football, From a piece of paper and a pencil. I am from the great backyard at my house, old, green, sunny all day long. I am from the upper forest in my town, so wide that you could spend all your time there. I’m from my uncle’s barbecues and jokes. From Encarna and Ismael. I’m from the friki ones and the relaxed ones. From “Don’t run” and “Be quiet”. I’m from the believers, Adan and Eva’s daughter. I’m from Alcorcón and Del Pozo’s branch. Figuelas, torrijas. From the tongue that my uncle almost lost. The lots of comics my uncle had. Looking at old and funny pictures. I’m from all those things and memories which made me who I am now.

I am from the bedroom with lots of dolls pink, lovely, that smelled like sweets I am from daisy petals that bloomed in the Spanish bush I'm from the hooligans and the paella eaten on Sundays. From Cordula and Carlos, I'm from the Kardashians and the Jenners. From "be careful" and "don't worry". I'm from a goddess, who brought me luck. I'm from grandmother's house and Torrevieja's branch. Pancakes, and chocolate. From the motorbike a gipsy offered in change for me. The song my mother used to sing to me. A big box with old pictures at my grandma's house. That was all I needed.
