• The origin of the idea

The Forbidden City was the Chinese imperial palace from the Ming dynasty to the end of the Qing dynasty. It is located in the center of Beijing, China, and now houses the Palace Museum.

For almost 500 years, it served as the home of emperors and their households, as well as the ceremonial and political center of Chinese government.

The palace complex exemplifies traditional Chinese palatial architecture, and has influenced cultural and architectural developments in East Asia and elsewhere.

Photomontage is the process and the result of making a composite photograph by cutting and joining two or more photographs into a new image.

What is montageďź&#x;

Sometimes the resulting composite image is photographed so that a final image may appear as a seamless photographic print.

• The Forbidden City graphic design was named We love China. It was a set of Forbidden City palace pictures in montage with English illustrations. It was characterized by its cross-cultural fusion visual effect for it expressed the beauty of Chinese architecture in Western characters. I demonstrated the spectacularity and majesty of Chinese palaces through digital technology. The essence of Chinese traditional design could be expressed more deeply by modern media methods which I was also very interested in.
