Amelia Jensen

Amelia Jensen graduated from the Master of Landscape Architecture program at Cornell University in May 2016. She received several grants to pursue research projects including her master’s thesis on dam removal in the Pacific Northwest, and presented her thesis in September 2016 as a pecha kucha at the Landscape Architecture as Necessity Conference at USC. In May 2015 she presented a co-authored, peer-reviewed paper with Professor Brian Davis at a Dumbarton Oaks Symposium, which will be published in an upcoming volume. She was awarded a National Student ASLA Honor Award. Her current research centers on the hybrid, envirotechnical landscapes of rivers and water infrastructure, where intensive human uses, social values, and bio-/geo-physical systems converge to generate novel possibilities for design. She also practices landscape architecture at studioINSITE in Omaha, Nebraska.
