Wedding Day Schedule: While every event is unique, you want to ensure time for fun, stress-free photo opportunities. This guide is an overview of the length of time suggested for the various photos so you can tentatively plan your day.
BRIEF GUIDELINES: If you want to see each other before the ceremony, plan to start photos 3 hours prior to the ceremony; starting with the bride getting her dress on. During this time, we will photograph the couple, wedding party and immediate family. Then plan for 30 minutes of photos in between the ceremony and reception for the extended family group shots. If you do not want to see each other before the ceremony, plan to start photos 2 hours prior to the ceremony;, starting with the bride getting her dress on. Plan for an 1 hour of photos in between the ceremony and reception. (Couple, wedding party, family groups)
CEREMONY TIME
GROUP PHOTOS
The end of the day sun light is ideal for photos, therefore plan your ceremony time about 2 hours prior to the sunset. You will have about an hour left of sun light after the ceremony which is for ideal couple and wedding party photos. (Add time if you need to travel to a reception venue.)
ONE HOUR. Plan for 30 minutes for wedding party photos and 30 minutes for family group photos. If you choose to not see each other prior to the wedding, we can capture girls only or guys only prior to the ceremony; and then we will photograph the wedding party together and the family photos before and/or after the ceremony.
FIRST LOOK 15 MINUTES. Many couples choose to see each other prior to the ceremony. This sentimental time gives the couple a special time to just focus on one another. Many couples like to exchange gifts during this time, pray or just soak in the beauty of the moment. Then we can take couple’s, wedding party and some family photos prior to the ceremony. This will cut down about an hour of photography following the ceremony! COUPLE PHOTOS 30-45 MINUTES. The day is about YOU~ so allow for about 30-45 minutes just for couple photos to ensure that you receive a variety of photos. If you are seeing each before the ceremony, we typically split this time up before and right after the ceremony. If you are not seeing each other before, we will capture individual portraits prior to the ceremony and couple photo after.
RECEPTION GET-AWAY TEN MINUTES. During the reception we can “steal” the bride and groom for 10 minutes to capture some romantic night photos. THE EXIT TWO MINUTES. The exit is always an exciting moment, but it happens so quickly! Savor the moment by stopping to kiss, embrace or dance while you exit. If you have a fun get-away transportation option, consider scheduling a photo opp with the vehicle prior to your get away during the reception.

WHO IS YOUR SECOND PHOTOGRAPHER? I work with a fabulous second photographer, Ian Collins. Ian experience in photography as well as video production. He is creative and a lot of fun! I had the honor of photographing his wedding in 2013 (his engagement photos are featured above!) HOW DO YOU REQUIRE PAYMENT? I require a $500 retainer with your contract to secure the wedding date. Then half of the balance is due three months prior to the wedding and the other half is due on month prior to the wedding. The fees listed do not include TN sales & use tax.
WHEN WILL WE CONFIRM THE SCHEDULE FOR THE WEDDING DAY?
HOW & WHEN WILL WE RECEIVE OUR DIGITAL IMAGES?
We will work together to develop your wedding day schedule. We will finalize your schedule based on if you are seeing each before, restrictions at your venue and if you have various venue locations. I also require a list of group and family group photos. I will also coordinate with the wedding planner to ensure your schedule runs as smoothly as possible!
You will receive your digital image collection online within 4 weeks of your wedding date. Your guests may view and download images as well as place order for small prints. The digital images include a personal use rights so you may make prints and post the photos online for your personal use.
Typically, we start shooting about 3 hours prior to the ceremony starting with the bride getting her wedding dress on.
HOW & WHEN WILL WE RECEIVE THE ALBUM? I will pre design your album based on my favorite photos. You will view the layout online then we will meet in person to discuss changes to the album design. The album is typically completed within three months of your wedding date. www.ameliajmoore.com
