Grab hold of most incentives for your practice! – MACRA 2017 MACRA is known as ‘Permanent Doc Fix’ by Healthcare Economist. It is a focused framework to help build and improve quality measures for healthcare providers. iPatientCare is giving all it has to explain the ways MACRA encourages the development of additional payment models and the different ways it can be implemented. Medicare Access & CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015 (MACRA) advances towards the providers with two different opportunities. The two ways are Advanced Alternative Payment (APMs) and Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS). The best part is that the providers can grab hold of both the opportunities equally.

MIPS is one of the pathways under MACRA that streamline multiple reporting programs like – PQRS, Physician Value Modifier and Medicare EHR incentive program into a single program called MIPS.

There are different ways you can know your eligibility for MIPS: All clinicians who annually bill Medicare for $30,000 or more and see 100 or more Medicare patients, and are not in their first year of Medicare reporting are eligible for this program. According to CMS, your MIPS eligibility is determined twice a year. The first review is based on the historical claim data submitted between 1st Sept. 2015 and 31st Aug. 2015. The second review should be completed in December on the
