Autoimmune Neurology and Neurology Year in Review REGISTRATION AND PROGRAM SCHEDULE Advance Registration/Hotel Deadline: June 23

AAN.com/SummerConference • #AANSC

I’m so excited that the AAN is having a conference specifically dedicated to autoimmune neurology. This is going to be the first conference of its kind covering the emerging science, the latest clinical approaches, and everything in between. The lineup of speakers is phenomenal—bringing together many international experts in one place to focus on this topic. This conference is much more than a beautiful summer weekend in San Francisco. It’s going to teach us everything we need to approach a patient in clinic with a suspected autoimmune neurologic condition. Join us July 15–16 to do what we do best as neurologists— collaboratively developing better treatment plans for our patients—all while having fun.

VACCINE REQUIREMENTS & VERIFICATION Vaccine + Booster Requirement For all AAN conferences, training programs, and meetings, all attendees are required to be “up to date” with their COVID-19 vaccines (as defined by the CDC) to attend in-person. The current CDC definition of “up to date” is: “A person is up to date with their COVID-19 vaccination if they have received all recommended doses in the primary series and one booster when eligible. Getting a second booster is not necessary to be considered up to date at this time.” For individuals living in the United States, acceptable vaccines will be all FDA authorized (or approved) vaccines for COVID-19 plus a booster (if eligible); for individuals living outside of the United States, other vaccines the World Health Organization has indicated meet necessary criteria for safety and efficacy. Attendees living in the United States who are not yet booster eligible can be granted admittance to the Summer Conference by showing they are within five months of receiving the second shot of the Pfizer or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, or within two months of receiving the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Unvaccinated individuals or individuals who do not meet the above vaccination requirements may register to attend virtually. Contact registration@aan.com with questions.

Vaccine Verification US-based attendees attending in San Francisco need to validate your vaccination status with CLEAR Health Pass to make your entry to the meeting faster, safer, and more secure. For US attendees to get started, download the CLEAR app. We recommend enrolling as soon as possible for the best, most seamless registration process. • • • •

Tap the white Health Pass tile Select ‘Have a code’ and enter the code AANSC Easily enroll or verify your identity with a quick selfie Follow the prompts to verify your vaccination status

International attendees will verify their vaccination status on-site using a vaccine card (digital or printed) and photo identification card.

Autoimmune neurology is one of the most rapidly evolving fields in neurology. Any neurologist at any level of training and subspecialty will find value in this conference given that autoimmune neurologic disorders can present with symptoms from every level of the neuraxis. And, these disorders can be treatable!

Attendees can expect a relaxed forum to discuss and learn about neurologic autoimmunity with the experts in the field, present their experiences, and discuss the latest research. I am particularly excited about the case discussions the first day!

Although the focus of the Summer Conference is autoimmune neurology, the year in review will cover a broad range of neurologic subspecialties and supplement the conference’s key focus area of autoimmune neurology. The year in review programming is split up into six sessions in various fields within neurology. Experts within each field will discuss the latest clinical trials, controversial topics, or emerging topics which have a large impact on delivery of care within neurology. I’m looking forward to having the opportunity to discuss important topics with the year in review panel.

COVID-19 Policies The American Academy of Neurology is committed to creating a safe and healthy environment for all our attendees, exhibitors, and staff. Specific health and safety measures will be described and disseminated on AAN.com/SummerConference. Vaccination Plus Booster Required For all AAN conferences, training programs, and meetings, all attendees are required to be “up to date” with their COVID-19 vaccines (as defined by the CDC) to attend in-person. Attendees living in the United States who are not yet booster eligible can be granted admittance to the Annual Meeting by showing they are within five months of receiving the second shot of the Pfizer or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, or within two months of receiving the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Unvaccinated individuals or individuals who do not meet the above vaccination requirements may register for the virtual AAN Summer Conference. Contact registration@aan.com with questions. Vaccine Verification US-based attendees need to validate your vaccination status with CLEAR Health Pass to make your entry to the meeting faster, safer, and more secure. For US attendees to get started, download the CLEAR app. We recommend enrolling as soon as possible for the best, most seamless registration process. • Tap the white Health Pass tile • Select ‘Have a code’ and enter the code AANSC • Easily enroll or verify your identity with a quick selfie • Follow the prompts to verify your vaccination status International attendees will verify their vaccination status on-site using a vaccine card (digital or printed) and photo identification card.
