DAY 1 Motorcoach departure from Chicago. Welcome to Michigan. Lunch in Saugatuck, MI. Scenic travel through the vibrant fall foliage of Michigan. Dinner. Arrive at the Holiday Inn Express, Mackinaw City.
DAY 2 Breakfast. Discover the “Bermuda of the North”— Mackinac Island. Board Shepler’s Ferry & arrive at the island. Free time for shopping, sightseeing & famous Mackinac Island fudge! Grand Luncheon Buffet at the Grand Hotel. View legendary points of interest on a Mackinac Island Horse Drawn Carriage Tour. Return to the mainland via ferry & arrive at the Holiday Inn Express, Sault Ste. Marie, MI for a 2-night stay. Dinner in Sault Ste. Marie.
DAY 3 Cross the border into Canada at Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. View beautiful fall foliage aboard the Algoma Central Railway for a day-long Agawa Canyon Train Excursion with box breakfast & box lunch. Enjoy a 2-hour stop at scenic Agawa Canyon. Dinner.
DAY 4 Breakfast. Soo Locks Boat Cruise: enjoy an exciting and educational narrated lunch cruise on the historic waterway of the St. Mary’s River & view the twin border cities of Sault Ste Marie, Canada & Sault Ste Marie, Michigan. Experience locking through the Soo Locks alongside giant freighters. Dinner in Traverse City. Lodging in Traverse City, MI.
DAY 5 Breakfast. Guided tour of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore with spectacular views of Lake Michigan from atop the gigantic dunes. Lunch in Ludington, MI. Motorcoach returns to Chicago. Tour ends.
