DAY 2 Welcome to Venice! Take in the city’s dreamy canals lined with vibrantly colored buildings, where gondolas glide past grand piazzas and historic landmarks. Arrive at Hotel Cavalletto & Doge Venice for a 3-night stay. Dinner.

DAY 3 Breakfast. Discover the heart of Venice on a captivating walking tour. Wander through centuries-old streets, soaking in the city’s rich history. See the majestic St. Mark’s Basilica. Indulge in a Bacaro experience, where you’ll sample “cicchetti” paired with a glass of wine.

Arrive at Hotel Indigo in Florence for a 3-night stay. Dinner.

DAY 6 Breakfast. Discover the birthplace of the Renaissance on a guided tour of Florence. See the iconic Duomo Cathedral. Explore the renowned Accademia Gallery, where Michelangelo’s masterpiece, the David, awaits. Lunch at Florence’s Central Market.

DAY 7 Breakfast. Embark on a full-day adventure through Tuscany. Take in the charm and rich history of Siena on a guided walking tour. Travel to the medieval hilltop town of San Gimignano. Continue your culinary journey at a traditional farmhouse in the Chianti area, where you’ll participate in

DAY 3 Breakfast. Guided tour of Belfast highlighting Queens University, Titanic birthplace, Cathedral and Queen’s Quarter and more. Visit the Titanic Experience Belfast Museum to explore the Titanic story from her conception in Belfast in the early 1900s, through her construction and launch, to her infamous maiden voyage, catastrophic demise, discovery of the wreck and present day live undersea exploration center. Return to the hotel for the evening.

DAY 4 Breakfast. Visit Giants Causeway – the only World Heritage site in Northern Ireland — where over 40,000 basalt columns were formed some 60 million years ago. Enjoy a walking tour of the historical walled city of Derry. Travel to Donegal. Arrive at Lough Eske Castle for a 2-night stay in County Donegal. Dinner.

DAY 5 Breakfast. Full day of leisure at the Lough Eske Castle to relax, enjoy the castle, perhaps use the spa or walk the tranquil lake path. Optional afternoon excursion to Donegal Town.

DAY 6 Breakfast. Explore Belleek Pottery, world famous since 1857. Visit the peaceful churchyard at Drumcliffe in County Sligo to read the epitaph on the grave of Irish poet, William Butler Yeats, who chose this as his final resting place with its stunning location at the foot of Benbulben Mountain. Arrive at the Park House Hotel in Galway for a 2-night stay. Dinner.

DAY 7 Breakfast. Tour the loop of Connemara and its breathtaking scenery of hills and bogs. Visit Kylemore Abbey & Victorian Walled Garden. Free evening in Galway.

DAY 8 Breakfast. Marvel at the rugged beauty of the towering Cliffs of Moher and stunning vistas over the Atlantic Ocean and the Aran Islands. Scenic travel through the Burren National Park. DAY 9 Breakfast. Day tour of Dingle Peninsula including Sea Head Drive. Visit Gallarus Oratory – a chapel built over a 1000 years ago built entirely from dry stone masonry. Time to explore Dingle. Return to Killarney for evening.

Day tour of the Ring of Kerry including scenic towns of Cahersiveen & Waterville, Coomakesta Pass with magnificent views of Derrynane, Killarney National Park, and Lake of Killarney. Step back in time at 19th Century Kerry Bog Village Museum. Lunch at a local pub. Enjoy a jaunting cart ride.

DAY 11 Breakfast. Kiss the famous Blarney Stone at Blarney Castle (1446) with free time at Woolen Mills. Visit Rock of Cashel – the seat of Kings and mediaeval bishops for 900 years and flourished until the early 17th century. Arrive at the Hotel Riu Plaza The Gresham in Dublin for a 3-night stay. Dinner.

DAY 12 Breakfast. City tour of Dublin. Highlights include O’Connell Street, Phoenix Park, Leinster House and more. Explore the Irish Emigration Museum to uncover the story of Irish emigrants and how they shaped the world. Tour of the Guinness Storehouse finishing at the Gravity Bar for a pint of Guinness while enjoying panoramic views over Dublin city. Return to the hotel for the evening.

Explore well known neighborhoods, Alfama Quarter, with its steep streets and alleys and Baixa Chiado, Lisbon’s main shopping and banking district. DAY 6 Breakfast. Experience Pastel de Nata, an authentic Portuguese baking class and tasting. Visit Sintra, a favorite summer retreat of Portugal’s monarchs and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit the Pena Palace, Portugal’s most stunning expression of 19th-century romanticism.

DAY 7 Breakfast. Explore the charming town of Tavira, known for its beautiful beaches and historic architecture. Lunch in Tavira. Journey to Seville, a vibrant metropolis known for its magnificent architecture and passionate culture. Arrive at Eurostars Torre Sevilla for a 2-night stay. Dinner.

DAY 8 Breakfast. Take a guided horse-carriage tour of Seville. Visit the Real Alcazar de Sevilla, built in the 10th century by the Moors who ruled Seville for over 500 years; it was later expanded and renovated by the Christians after the Reconquista, and it has been the residence of Spanish royalty for centuries. Delight in Paella and other Andulsian treats in a cooking class and dinner.

DAY 9 Breakfast. See Olvera, one of the famed Pueblos Blancos, a series of whitewashed towns. Explore the town of Ronda known for being the birthplace of bullfighting and its narrow cliff bridge Puente Nuevo. Arrive at Barcelo Granada Congress Hotel for a 2-night stay in Granada. Dinner.

DAY 10 Breakfast. Explore Granada and visit the Alhambra Palace. Once a palace and fortress for the city's Muslim rulers, the Alhambra means ‘red fort' and is named after the red clay used in its construction in the mid-13th century. The Generalife was the country residence of the Nasrid king. The recreational courtyard and its beautiful gardens sit on the slopes of the Cerro del Sol, offering spectacular views. DAY 3 Breakfast. Guided tour of Athens, the birthplace of democracy. Discover the storied history of Greece’s capital city as you explore the Acropolis, an ancient citadel situated on a rocky hilltop overlooking Athens. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Acropolis was the cultural and religious center of ancient Greek civilization. It is home to famous ancient architectural wonders including the the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, and the Parthenon. Visit the Acropolis Museum, which hosts over 4,000 artifacts from antiquity. Enjoy a coastal drive past the wonderful beaches of Glyfada, Vouliagmeni and Varkiza as you journey to Cape Sounion. DAY 4 Breakfast. Journey to Mycenae to take in its impressive prehistoric archaeological site with the Palace and Royal Tombs, including the tomb of Agamemnon. Scenic excursion aboard the Gornergrat Bahn, the second highest railway in Europe, to the Gornergrat, a rocky ridge standing at 10,135 feet in the Pennine Alps, overlooking the Gorner Glacier. Visit the Ben Reifel Visitor Center at Badlands National Park. Scenic drive through the Badlands National Park where wind & water erosion have carved an eerie world of deep gorges, saw-edged spires and grassy topped buttes — creating a fabulous painted landscape. DAY 3 Breakfast. Travel scenic Byway 14A to Spearfish Canyon where some scenes of the movie Dances With Wolves were filmed. Arrive in Deadwood SD with time for lunch and shopping. Enjoy an historic tour of Deadwood. Hear about the Fort Laramie Treaty of 1868, Custer’s expedition to the Black Hills, Jack McCall, Wild Bill Hickok, Calamity Jane and Potato Creek Johnny. After a photo stop at Sylvan Lake, travel to Custer State Park. Arrive at the Custer State Park Game Lodge for a 4-night stay. This historic lodge served as a summer White House for Presidents Coolidge & Eisenhower. Dinner at the lodge.

DAY 1 Welcome to Kansas City, Missouri. Arrive at Westin Kansas City Crown Center for a 4-night stay. This festively decorated hotel features an outdoor ice skating rink illuminated with holiday lights. Dinner.

DAY 2 Breakfast. Guided tour of Kansas City. Visit Toy & Miniature Museum. Free time at historic Country Club Plaza with its Spanish-influenced architecture, statues, murals, tile mosaics and a replica of the Giralda Tower of Seville, Spain. Tour Hallmark Visitor Center celebrating the Hallmark story. Dinner & professional theater production (TBA) at the New Theater, Overland Park, Kansas.

Visit K.C. Strings Violin Company. Dinner at Fiorella’s Jack Stack Restaurant. After dinner view the Country Club Plaza’s famous holiday lights, a tradition which began in 1925. Eighty miles of Christmas lights accentuate each dome tower and window of the plaza.

DAY 4 Breakfast. Visit Harry S. Truman Presidential Library & Museum, Independence, MO. Tour festively decorated Bingham Waggoner Estate with holiday luncheon. Dinner at Lidia’s Italian Restaurant. Lidia Giuliana Matticchio Bastianich is an Italian-American celebrity chef, television host, author, and restaurateur. Trolley tour of Kansas City neighborhoods to view residential holiday light displays.

DAY 5 Breakfast. Visit Arabia Steamboat Museum - a true time capsule of frontier life in the 1800s. The Arabia, full of 200 tons of supplies for general stores, was headed up the Missouri River in 1856 when she struck a tree snag and sank just north of Kansas City. In 1988 the Arabia was uncovered, only to discover fine dishware, clothing, and even bottled food all preserved in remarkable condition, giving it the nickname “King Tut’s Tomb of the Missouri River.” Tour ends.

SELECTING A ROOM TYPE

Each of our tours has two prices – a double occupancy and single occupancy price. If you make a single occupancy reservation, you will have a hotel room to yourself. If you make a double occupancy reservation, you will be sharing your hotel room with someone else whether that be your friend, spouse, or travel companion. Hotel rooms are priced on a per room basis, not a per person basis.

SPECIAL DIETARY ACCOMMODATIONS

We do our best to accommodate special dietary requests such as gluten-free diets, vegetarian diets and food allergies. Please mention your specific needs at the time of reservation.

PAYMENT TYPES

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellations prior to or on the final payment date receive a full refund less a $50 cancellation for North American Tours or $250 cancellation fee for Europe land tours. Cancellations after the final payment date, there is no refund. If you purchase travel insurance, you are eligible to file a claim with your insurance provider.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

Travel insurance may be added to your reservation. Travel insurance can include coverage for trip cancellation/interruption, emergency medical & medical evacuation/repatriation, baggage delay, trip delay, and more. Begin your tour with a convenient, professional pickup at your front door. Home pickup and return service is available if you live within 50 miles of a major metro airport. If you live beyond 50 miles, call us to see if service is available in your area.

ROUNDTRIP AIRFARE

Airfare can be added to all tour packages upon request. You will purchase the airline luggage fee for one checked bag at the airports on the day of departure & return. If you have airline mileage, TSA KTN or Global Entry numbers, please mention at the time of reservation. If you prefer to book your own airfare, you will then meet the tour at the destination. LEVEL OF ACTIVITY

American Classic Tours are active itineraries featuring full days and multiple attractions. We recommend you bring comfortable walking shoes. Some itineraries may include areas requiring significant walking, stairs, inclines and uneven terrain especially in remote regions of nature or in historic districts. Certain areas have restrictive and limited motorcoach access requiring more walking. American Classic Tours cannot provide individual assistance for guests using wheelchairs. For guests requiring this individual assistance, a companion must accompany the guest to provide this assistance. If you have any questions about a specific tour’s level of activity, please call us to help you discern whether a tour's activity level is suitable for you. As always, our main concern is your well-being.

A numerical rating for level of activity is listed for every tour and activity level descriptions are listed below along with corresponding numerical ratings.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

INVOICE

After you make your reservation, we will send an invoice to your email showing what you have paid, your remaining balance, and the final payment due date. If you purchased Travel Insurance, you will receive an email with a link to the policy.

RECEIPT SENT AFTER THE FINAL PAYMENT

After you have made your final payment, we will send you a receipt showing that you’re paid in full and all set to hit the road!
