DAY 1 Lunch in Kalamazoo. Willkommen to Frankenmuth, MI! Founded in 1845 by a group of German-Lutheran missionaries, Frankenmuth is a thriving community that takes pride in preserving its German heritage. As you pass through the village, notice well-tended flowers, lush greenery, authentic Bavarian architecture, giving it the name, “Michigan’s Little Bavaria.” Arrive at the Bavarian Lodge for a 2-night stay. The lodge is nestled on the banks of the beautiful Cass River. German Dinner with all the trimmings at the Bavarian Inn with German entertainment. DAY 2 Breakfast. A local guide in Bavarian costume showcases Frankenmuth. Learn the art of strudel making at the Bavarian Inn & discover German wines at the wine tasting. Lunch at the Frankenmuth Bavarian Inn Restaurant. Scenic cruise on the Bavarian Belle along the Cass River. Visit Bronner’s Christmas Wonderland, the world’s largest Christmas store, with 5 acres under one roof! Time for Frankenmuth’s annual Oktoberfest! Celebrate with German food, German dancing, listen to the live band playing German music & of course, plenty of beer. DAY 3 Breakfast. Discover the Henry Ford Museum & Greenfield Village with hundreds of thousands of artifacts that tell a tale about America’s passion for innovation. See vast collections of everything from transportation to household furnishings. Special exhibits feature: the rocking chair Lincoln was seated in on that fateful night at Ford’s Theater, Wright Flyer Replica, George Washington’s Camp Bed, the limousine President Kennedy rode in when assassinated in Dallas and much more. Arrive at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Lansing, Michigan. Dinner & musical entertainment at the hotel.

DAY 4 Breakfast. Tour the Michigan State Capitol Building. Visit Potter Park Zoo with wildlife presentation. Lunch at English Inn enroute home.
