Ada Anemone, owned and shown by Jan Milo, had a fun year being shown in driving, English, Western, Halter, jumping, swimming and several miles of trail riding. Afghan NTF (“Taka”), owned by Alice Morse, has been showing at First Level. This year he earned Alice her Master’s Challenge at First Level. He was ranked first For USDF All-Breeds Awards for Vintage Amateur Owner First Level and third for Amateur Owner First Level. Besides the more serious showing he wears patriotic attire for schooling shows near Memorial Day and has a variety of nifty braids to show off his mane. He is a very fun horse. It had been a goal of Beth’s to compete in ridden and driven dressage with the same horse, and this was made possible with the help of Woodward Performance Haflingers. Being a novice driver, Beth never would have met this goal this year or even dreamed of competing at the Nationals at Kentucky Horse Park without the help of Jackie and Mike helping me hook up my horse get ready and ride in the cart with me “just in case” there was a situation. This was a year to remember for sure! Anastasia of KHA (Alabama CHF x Atlantis CHF/Stardrift), owned by Jessica Hanney, completed her first USDF rated show season at first level. While gaining much experience, Anna brought home 19 blue ribbons, and earned Jessica both of her first level scores toward her USDF Bronze Medal. She also finished fourth place overall for the Midwest Dressage Association’s First Level Adult Amateur Year-end Award. Archie’s Boy, owed by Saige Matheny, placed Top Five in the 14 and Under Division of the Haflinger Championship Challenge. Photo Credit to Studio 316.
