WELCOME TO VINTAGE MOTORCYCLE DAYS AT MID-OHIO

This year is particularly special as we celebrate the 60th anniversary of Permco. We are thrilled to be celebrating this milestone with the American Motorcyclist Association as they celebrate their 100th year. This year’s event promises to be another unforgettable experience, filled with thrilling races, spectacular exhibitions, and the world’s largest swap meet showcasing a diverse array of parts, accessories, and memorabilia.

At Permco, we take immense pride in supporting the vintage motorcycle community. Our

commitment to precision, quality, and innovation in hydraulic pumps and motors aligns perfectly with the craftsmanship and passion that vintage motorcycles represent. We are honored to be a part of this remarkable gathering of enthusiasts, riders, and collectors who share our dedication to excellence.

Thank you for being a part of Vintage Motorcycle Days at MidOhio and helping us celebrate Permco’s 60th anniversary. We look forward to sharing this exceptional experience with you and celebrating the legacy of vintage motorcycles together.

GRAND MARSHAL BROC GLOVER

MOTOCROSS AND SUPERCROSS’ GOLDEN BOY —

A 6-TIME NATIONAL CHAMPION WITH 50-PLUS AMA NATIONAL, USGP, MXON AND TRANS-USA WINS

With the AMA and Yamaha celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the legendary YZ250 at VMD this year (and the entire lineup of YZs, really), having a Grand Marshal that epitomized Yamaha and its YZ motorcycles was the obvious choice.

And perhaps no one represents all of that better than six-time AMA National Champion and AMA Motorcycle Hall of Famer Broc Glover, who’s one of the most accomplished motocross champions in motorcycling history.

Glover won the 125cc AMA National Championship in ’77, ’78 and ’79 (that ’77 title when he was just 17 years old); the 500cc AMA National Championship in ’81, ’83 and ’85; the 1981 Trans-USA series; the 125cc USGP at Mid-Ohio Moto Park in Lexington, Ohio, just minutes from Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course (the home of VMD); and was a member of the winning Motocross and Trophy des Nations teams in 1983.

Glover got into motocross relatively late at the age of 13, but rose quickly through the ranks in the crucible of the SoCal motocross scene, winning a 125cc AMA National moto in his very first year of professional competition, and finishing fifth during

that initial ’76 season.

The following year he won the championship outright, out-dueling Team Suzuki’s HOFer Danny LaPorte. Two more 125-class championships followed, and when he moved to the 500cc division, he repeated with a trio of championships. Along the way he notched a 125 USGP victory at the old MidOhio venue and added a Trans-USA title to his resume in 1981.

Besides being one of the most versatile champions in history (as riding a 125 is a far cry from that of an open-classer), Glover has remained in the industry he loves, with more than two decades spent working for Dunlop Tires.

“Many Hall of Famers paved the way for me to be able to make a good living doing what I loved…racing motorcycles,” Glover said. “I hope I’ve done a small part in making it better for the current generation of riders.”
