Radio, Television and Film

Our Ford ASSET program trains you for a position with a Ford dealership or elsewhere in the automotive industry. Other courses provide instruction using the latest high-tech diagnostic equipment.

Interested in broadcast journalism, radio/television production, or film studies? You will get hands-on experience in radio and television studio settings.

Veterinary Technology Allied Health We offer programs in Medical Assisting, Health Information Technology, and Pharmacy Technology. Learn the skills needed to succeed in three of the fastest growing occupations in the country.

Become a registered Veterinary Technician, assisting in emergency care, anesthesia and surgical procedures for animals.

Our faculty and staff prepare students for employment through internship opportunities, job preparation classes, and the Cooperative Work Experience Program. Do a job search, post a resume, and find employment in the online “LINCS (Los Rios Internships and Career Services)” available only to students and alumni of Los Rios District colleges.

Architecture and Design Technology Gain skills in drafting and layout, study the latest in green building design, and engage in design competitions. Architecture is one of the Los Rios Community College District’s “Programs of Distinction.”

ourcommunity Growth and learning also happen outside the classroom by working and sharing with other students. There are student organizations and many leadership opportunities available, as well as college-wide committees that include student positions. Take full advantage of the college experience and get involved! Our Student Ambassadors serve as public relations representatives and help the college connect with students and the community. Students may serve as an elected officer in the Associated Student Government, or as a member of a college committee.

Athletics is a big part of the college experience for many students. The CRC Hawks provide excitement in baseball, softball, basketball, soccer, volleyball, and tennis. Our intercollegiate men’s and women’s teams are part of the Big 8 Conference. CRC provides many opportunities for students to showcase their creativity. There are a variety of cultural events such as Black History Month, Latino Culture Week and Cesar Chavez Day, Women’s

History Month, Earth Day, and Asian-Pacific Islander Celebration Days where students can share their talent with the college community. There are dozens of clubs that support academic and cultural interests as well as sports and hobbies. Music programs provide many opportunities to enjoy a performance or be a part of the college’s orchestra, jazz band, concert band, chamber singers or contemporary gospel choir. CRC is also home to the highly acclaimed, River Stage Theatre Company, which produces several plays a year.
