An Apartment Self-Employed Project Menlo Park, CA

The project located in Menlo Park, California. The property owner like to build a multi-generational apartment with the potential of flexibility and adaptability in the future. The building includes a 3-unit apartment, and each unit has 4 bedrooms. Each bedroom has independent full bathroom and access to roof garden and garden. My role as project designer was to design, prepare design and construction set

The landscape of the project includes a vegetable garden so that tenants can grow their fruits and vegetables. The property covered by concrete and in the new design it is considered to remove the concrete and use pervious pavement so that in increases the landscape area as well as absorbing the runoff water and use to for landscaping. In addition, in second floor and in the garden, trellis is considered to provide shadows.

Landscape Plan

In the living room of each floor there are diagonal shade structure used in order to break the west light. each bedroom has a full bathroom. First floor has access to the garden, the second floor has access to the roof garden of the garage and the third floor has access to the roof garden of the building.

Second Floor

Elevations designed to provide good lighting and good views from the outside. In the bedroom there are French door designed so that the full-length opening. In the living room and kitchen windows considered to be full-length and balcony is available for all.

North Elevation

West Elevation

A Doctor’s Office Scarpidis Design Massapequa, NY

This project located in Massapequa, NY. The client is a doctor and wants to build his own clinical building. The builds services other physiotherapists and plastic surgeons. My role in this project is to lead the project forward in all phases. Help the architect in design, prepare the construction set, go to meetings with other parties, process bids and coordinate the project with the architect of record.

Each floor has a reception so that each floor can operate separately from the other one. A new staircase and an elevator are design. For people who use wheelchair there is a ramp designed going from the garage to enter the space.

The Concept of the project is to provide a wide view to the outside landscape and merge the inside space with outside. Using wide operable windows. During spring and summer operable windows could be opened and having a big roof will bring shade to the space so that the inside space will be kept cool. During winter and fall, operable windows could be kept closed and the fireplace in the center of room can keep the room warm.

The Tale Solo Project Graduation Thesis Advisor Julia Czerniak Yazd & Tehran, Iran

This thesis investigates the potential of narrative storytelling to generate a design through speculation and depiction of the protagonist’s spatial experience. This story depicts scenes from the imagination of a girl on her journey from Yazd to Tehran, Iran. *This Project submitted to Fairy Tale Story Competition To read the story on Inkitt click on the link

As the final product in this thesis, I designed an elevated park on top of the Phase 1 market that built in the 1970s, in response to lack of sociable place and improving social and architectural qualities. The concept of design is to transform the experience of the protagonist in the city of Yazd, bring it to Ekbatan and create a picturesque moment that simulates the experience of “Home. I used the experience of alleyways to create a canopy over the public park. The created space has the experience of Yazd, such as meandering, having the feeling of materiality, shading and etc.

Modular Apartment In Collaboration with Gary Thurston

Comprehensive Studio Professors David Shanks and Bess Krietmeyer Brooklyn, NY

As Brooklyn grows fast, and changes shape, especially horizontally, the requirement of place to live which is affordable, easy and quick to construct is tangible. The project considered as modular apartment project which meets the mentioned requirements. The site is seen at the intersection of Classon and Willoughby Avenue in Brooklyn. In this topic in addition to designing of the building, other factors such as constructional aspects, HVAC systems, structural, environmental analysis and fire codes are considered. The concept of the design is to consider modules in a way that their different formations shape different square footage as well as being structural.

Music Pavilion, Tehran Visitic Critic Studio Professors Katherine Hogan, Vincent Petrarca Tehran, Iran

The music pavilion is in a public park and was considered as a short studio project on a small scale. The project began with this question “ How do you spend your spare time?” which one the things I do, I listen to music. In the next step, I transformed the content of the question in the service of public and I reframe the question as “How a spare time can integrate into public architecture?” As a result, the designed building is considered as a music pavilion in a public park.
