Amir S. Hamer

Amir S. Hamer (Hatim Amir Shaw-Hamer, born November 26, 1992) is an American-born artist, industrial & UX designer. He has worked Design Direction roles with various fortune 500 companies and production studios based in the U.S. At age 22 he graduated from Southern Polytechnic State University in Atlanta GA with a B.A. in New Media Arts influenced with a background of Architecture. In his childhood, his fascination with insects, nature, and robotics helped pave the way to the forms his design aesthetic took. From middle to high school, the magnet schools he attended (Sudbrook Magnet Middle, George Washington Carver Center for the Arts & Technology) served as influential catalyst that sharpened his professional understandings of applied artistic narrative. He attributes his semiotic understandings of design to have derived from the lessons he learned his university’s architecture program & design philosophy courses.
