year: 2023
type: Commercial office space location: Florence, Italy
Where documentary photography and journalism meet to inspire change, this commercial office reflects the balance between the known and the unknown. With a monochromatic palette symbolizing documented reality, the layout divides guest and staff areas for clarity and simplicity. In contrast, the workshop space bursts with vibrant colors and soft curves, fostering creativity and exploration. A hub for collaboration, engagement, and innovation, this space invites you to discover the balance between the familiar and the unexplored.
EXHIBITION HALLWAY
Upon entering the office, you’re immediately drawn to the curated display of photographs and the sleek Fold bookshelf by Nendo. This intentional arrangement guides visitors along a path that aligns with my concept, ensuring they see what I intend for them to see.
WORKSHOP SPACE
The workshop space embodies one of my key themes: the element of surprise. A vibrant pop of color stands in stark contrast to the predominantly black and white surroundings, adding an unexpected twist to the atmosphere.
OUTDOOR AREA
The outdoor area serves as a communal space, open to anyone from the neighborhood. Beneath the shed, you can gather with a few friends or even work, fostering connections and productivity in a relaxed setting.
SENSORY HARMONY
year: 2024
type: Wellness spa location: Florence, Italy
This interior design project reimagines the spa experience as a holistic escape for adults, where every detail engages the senses to promote relaxation and renewal. Natural textures, soothing earth tones, ambient lighting, and organic forms create a serene visual environment. Harmonious sounds, healing touch therapies, enchanting aromas, and health-conscious refreshments complete the experience, offering a transformative retreat that leaves clients refreshed, balanced, and in harmony with their senses.
RECEPTION
With the human senses as my primary concept, creating the right ambiance in the reception area was paramount. I intentionally opted for a dim atmosphere rather than an overly bright one. I believe that in subdued lighting, one’s senses are heightened, fostering a deeper connection to the environment and a heightened state of awareness.
TREATMENT ROOM
In designing the treatment rooms, I opted for a simpler approach. The aim was to create an environment that feels light and welcoming, avoiding any sense of heaviness that might detract from the relaxation and rejuvenation intended during treatments.
HOTEL MURA
year: 2024
type: Hotel
location: Florence, Italy
Our hotel design embraces the theme of the “Passage of Time,” capturing the rich history and transformation of Le Murate—a space that has evolved from a convent to a jail and now a vibrant cultural hub. Positioned as a gateway to Florence, the design merges historic character with modern touches, creating a dynamic space that honors the city’s resilience and adaptability. Guests are invited to journey through layers of Florence’s past, present, and future while enjoying a contemporary atmosphere that connects them to the city’s ever-evolving narrative.
The seating area of the suite is an elegant fusion of Renaissance-inspired colors reimagined in a contemporary style. The richness of green marble paired with sleek metallic silver accents creates a striking balance of tradition and modernity. Complemented by warm parquet flooring, the design exudes sophistication while maintaining a cohesive and inviting atmosphere. This thoughtful combination offers a unique and refined space for relaxation and connection.
SEATING IN SUITE
The lounge, positioned strategically between the reception and the hotel’s vertical connections, acts as a vibrant transition zone. The interplay of greenery extending through the void brings an organic dynamism, while the surrounding lounge chairs invite relaxation and interaction. Consistent material combinations with the reception create a harmonious flow. The orange accents, paired with lush green elements, evoke warmth and vitality, enhancing the lounge’s welcoming and lively atmosphere.
LOUNGE
BEDROOM
The hotel bedroom exudes understated warmth and elegance, featuring parquet flooring and soft upholstered headboards that create a cozy ambiance. Each room is uniquely characterized by its distinctive color palette and carefully selected rugs, while maintaining a consistent layout for a harmonious experience. A mirror above the bed not only enhances the sense of space but also adds a refined touch. Complementing the bed is a comfortable seating area, offering both functionality and relaxation in a thoughtfully designed setting.
BATHROOM IN BEDROOMS
The bathrooms feature a harmonious blend of materials, including limestone, wood, and terrazzo, which together create an atmosphere of elegance and warmth.
