Since our founding in 1973 by Mahlon Hochstetler and son Eli, we have been producing high quality home furnishings, components, and millwork.
In keeping our commitment to producing a sustainable product, we are actually growing some of the wood we use on our own tree farms. The overall health of the ecosystem (water quality, wildlife, native plant species, etc.) is considered in the management of these. To ensure we can fill your orders, we keep extensive stock of native hardwood species on hand.
We have broad manufacturing capabilities and experienced craftsmen and women to manage the process from start to finish.
Beyond our residential line, we produce contract commercial and institutional products. Please consider us for your solid wood furniture or component needs. As always, we strive to deliver exceptional value.

About our Joinery
Some of the most important elements of furniture design are not even visible. The joinery that is used to construct a chair is largely hidden after assembly. While no single method is best in all situations, mortise and tenon joinery is a time honored construction method dating back as far as the 4th century BC in furniture, and much longer than that in buildings.
Mortise and tenon construction was widely used by American furniture makers up through the 50s and 60s before the cheaper throw-away furniture became popular. It is still utilized in fine furniture everywhere. A properly fitted mortise joint will allow wood to expand and contract naturally without losing structural integrity.
We use mortise and tenon construction wherever feasible, sometimes in conjunction with other fasteners, paying close attention to the fit. A premium glue secures each joint.
Sometimes a wedge is driven into the end of an open tenon to lock it securely.
