Amish Purohit: George Mason University
Amish Purohit knows that a journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step. Purohit's education was no exception. Purohit knew he wanted to be a medical physician fairly young in life, and would begin pursuing that career by attending George Mason University in Fairfax Virginia. There, Purohit would prosper and grow as a young scholar, eventually graduating in 1989 with a bachelor's degree in Public Administration, a degree that would give him the managerial skills necessary to later be leading medical director and a role model for many other physicians at his hospital.
Amish Purohit: Arizona Priority Care
After receiving his formal education, and several other jobs that helped him accrue the experience and leadership skills necessary for a primary position, Amish Purohit would ultimately end up as a Chief Medical Officer at Arizona Priority Care Plus in Chandler Arizona. Purohit presently holds this position, and says it is the culmination of his long career. Purohit's duties at the center include supervising the medical staff, organizing patient logs, and just generally helping to maintain a smooth facility. Purohit is also the senior physician, and helps aid his staff in difficult problems. Purohit says that the position requires both patience and experience in the workings of a hospital to be done successfully.
Amish Purohit: Chief Executive Officer
Amish Purohit is not just a physician, but a leader and businessman as well. Many people don't know that the medical field is just as much administration and organization as it is technology and medical training. Facilities without proper management and budgeting, are doomed to provide inadequate service with out-of-date procedures and technology, a fact Purohit knows well. That is why he accepted the position as Chief Executive Officer at Gila River Healthcare Corporation, where he oversaw the entire medical facility's operations, helping to assure that patients received the highest quality of medical care.
