EMPLOYMENT HISTORY: Dec 2007- Present Twenty Onwards Media Pvt. Ltd. / Comic Con India Pvt. Ltd POSITION: Art /Creative Director As part of the operations of Twenty Onwards Media & Comic Con India Pvt. Ltd., I have been a part of the following undertakings: ► Comic Con India: As part of the core team for the biggest pop culture event in India, I'm responsible for developing the creative identity of the 4 events under Comic Con India's label. Responsible for designing the website & creative identity for each event from scratch, collaborating with sales & marketing team for the planning & strategy of each show. Layout design, branding, mascots, merchandise, vendor handling & responsible for the event set up. I was also responsible for the development of the Indian Comics Journal, India's first comics journal, where my responsibilities included collaborating with the editorial team and ideating content for each issue, designing articles, coordinate with artists & illustrators, cover art, print/production, etc. ► Pop Culture Publishing: Publication design including creative layout & cover design, coordination with writers, artists/illustrators on

nearly 20 odd graphic novel titles. Have built a strong network of artists & illustrators across the country. ► Pop Cracker: Instrumental in developing & enhancing the use experience, designing & developing merchandise based on comics & pop culture art. Spearheading the instructional layout of the website along with managing the production of the same. ► Random: India's one and only humor magazine, RANDOM gave me a good opportunity to further experiment with my sensibilities as a designer. RANDOM is unique and demands more time and focus because of its graphic nature. The illustrative nature of the magazine helps me to experiment with layouts, colors and artwork, which, at the same time should compliment the humorous backdrop of the article. (www.randommagazine.in) ► Traffic Life : Magazine: A unisex, thematic, lifestyle magazine, which was one of its kind. My job was to create the magazine from scratch. Starting from the editorial design to print production, I was involved thoroughly in creating TRAFFIC as a brand. For TRAFFIC, I focused heavily on the design and layout of every article, which would reflect the content and flavor of the article. I'm entrusted with broad range of creative and technical responsibilities including design and development of websites, magazines, corporate identity and print collateral. I'm responsible for managing and maintaining a fully-integrated creative department; day-to-day activities include scheduling projects,

Besides, I direct and oversee the workflow of staff designers, web web developer, Freelancer & production team. July 2006 – Dec 2007 Parsec Technologies Pvt. Ltd POSITION: Sr. Graphic Designer My role was to design, produce and manage the print design projects for different departments. At Parsec my work profile included web site design/construction, designing flyers & posters, brand building and packaging. I also worked with the marketing division and developed new logos for different products and organized events to emphasize the company's identity. UTV Bindass is coming out with Bindass Buddies, a new concept. They wanted individual booklets designed for 33 colleges in Delhi and Mumbai. These booklets contain information about the college passed on by senior students

This project required a lot of information to be presented in an easy on the eye format. In keeping with the nature of the project and the Bindass identity, we decided to create a scrapbook kind of cool, trendy look.

Each of the college’s booklets was designed separately using photographs and illustrations in an innovative way. To give it a scrapbook kind of feel, we gave everything a cut and pasted look. We also went in for a riot of vibrant colors to achieve a youthful feel.

Traffic Life was a general-interest magazine aimed at the youth market and therefore required out-of-the-box designs for its identity and layout.

Abandoning the conventional lifestyle magazine way of clean and blocky design we created eccentric layouts, heavily influenced by retro, grunge and pop art themes. We used vibrant and attractive colors to create a truly eclectic design for the magazine.

By creating each article based on its content and a broad set of guidelines, we managed to create a very eclectic look for the magazine, while maintaining a sense of continuity. Keeping the name of the magazine in mind, we created the identity around the theme of traffic, using roads, road signs and traffic lights as motifs.

Random is an Indian humor magazine that has been running for more than a year now. When it was being launched, Random was a unique product for the Indian market and therefore needed a unique design.

For a humor magazine called Random, the look had to be eclectic and lively. So we went in for a funky look which took from a lot of different styles to create a unique and new identity.

We created multihued interesting layouts individually for each article in each issue. The covers were designed to be eye-catching, funny and interesting while being topical.

AAPKA FM VIRTUAL RADIO IDENTITY Basementrecords Red| Black PROJECT DESCRIPTION Aapka FM Virtual Radio creates programming for PA systems at airports, malls and other such places. An identity had to be created to market the concept to businesses.

PROJECT CONCEPT Since it is a virtual radio service we decided to go with the overall theme of broadcast and radio. So we used antenna, ripples and a cityscape as motifs for the design.

DESIGN To give it a classy look we chose the elegant combination of red and black. A red background broken by a jagged black cityscape presents a very modern, urban feel, while the logo with the broadcasting antenna stands out in white.

USHA LEXUS Blue|Green|Red|Orange| PROJECT DESCRIPTION Usha Lexus, one of the leading Indian brands in home appliances and consumer goods, wanted us to create an identity for a new range of toilet cleaners, disinfectants and surface cleaners. They wanted suggestions for brand names and a graphic identity which would stand out amongst existing competitors.

PROJECT CONCEPT We came up with a lot of brand name and logo options out of which Lexaclin was finalized. The focus of our design concept was to use vibrant colors and eye-catching graphics.

DESIGN We went for a green palette for the disinfectant and created a very attractive design. For the surface cleaner, blue was used to give a sparkling kind of effect. We combined these two clean, vibrant colors for the toilet cleaner.


LOGO AND IDENTITY PROGRAM FOR SCHOLLEGE.COM Scollege Client Bule / Red Platette PROJECT DESCRIPTION Schollege.com, a website providing college guides written by students for students, wanted us to create a logo related to college and education, which also appealed to young college students.

PROJECT CONCEPT The key was to come up with something funky which also symbolized knowledge and learning. So we decided to go with the owl, the symbol of wisdom and a very iconic image at the same time.

DESIGN To signify college we placed a graduation hat on the owl's head and had its wings spread to symbolize flight and freedom, while balancing out the design. We also used a blocky, college shirt kind of font to give it a young feel.
