Curriculum Vitae

Hi ! I enjoy the idea that every building should be like our favorite toy packaging a fascinating story of love, innocence, innovation, history and character through fine details in material construction without failing its purpose to spread happiness. Motivated by this philosophy, I consider it my job to combine my focussed research, my visualization skills and my creative solution oriented abilities towards an architecture with a strong soul.

Personality in workspaces. The idea that every desk should represent the character of the person working. This way, individuality is established. With time, employees started populating their tables with their personal objects.

Sketch wall

The sketch wall is designed to provide a backdrop for the reception wall. Eventually the glass wall served as a board for various design charettes and presentations.

Breakout spaces from monotony.

The pantry is designed to breakway from the monotonous coporate interiors.

Facade

Facade in development

Brief: The brief was to redesign the facade into something amicable and modern. The intent is to attempt a conversation with the local environment with a modern approach.

Concept: Blue and her The facade is looked as a play of a white modern feminine form with the rigid traditional masculineform. The story is told as a dance between blue and his lover.

Translation:

Way forward:

The contrast is brought out by introducing colour and aluminium louvers that create the effect of shade in the traditional part.

The way forward is to explore various relevant shell structures to accentuate the facade and give a warm friendly facade

Mixed Use Building Cairo, Egypt 1,068,210 sq.ft.

The weave as an icon is a metaphor that works at multiple levels - it stands for a thread that runs through Egypt’s long history, it stands for an act that helps blend the new into the existing and the pattern itself stands for something that can be new, unique and iconic. Furthermore the building design in this case is a weave that integrates the programme, the climatic response and the pedestrian experience.

Weaving, as a practiced craft, has been a common cross-cultural phenomenon for thousands of years. While patterns and techniques differ between cultures, the basic craft of weaving has maintained its cultural and economic significance. Basket weaving has been a constant in Eygpt’s long history.Remains of baskets have been found in the Fayoum dating to the Neolithic period, about 5000 BC.

Various models for the different programmes to generate building massing appropriate for the purpose of providing a progressively refreshing architecture.

Master Plan

The masterplan for the healthcare Complex derives its concept from an integrated circuit. Each component has its own function and looks different from the others.Yet they work well in a system, each component understanding its role.Similarly each component of the Alveoli works indiviudally in its own capacity to perform well in terms of daily functioning as well as urban scale priorities like air quality improvement.

Assisted Living

Alve Square. The square is a 1200 bedded hospital within the healthcare complex. The square encloses a central courtyard with a controlled environment. The central plaza can be used as an excellent means for relaxation as well as department finding.

Hospital

Alve Circles. In a dense urban environment like delhi , there is a dearth of quality open social spaces especially for the old. Circles innovates in providing a safe, interactive, social space within the medical complex.

Lab

Circles is born out of a single path that circulates and ramps around 4 cores , two residential units and two central social cores.

Alve angles.

Alve angles are the office towers. Pinned at the centre , the towers move away from each other thus forming two green courtyards on both sides. Each tower is also provided with a terrace view onto the plaza level.

1 Laying out

Khan 2.5 is laid out with the commercial centre towards the front of the site with an attached cinema theater. The service apartments and the housing are introduced towards the rear of the site with a landscape buffer.

2 Hierarchy of scale

Visual hierarchy helps break the monotony of the facade creating layers of social activity. Increasing visual connect can also establish a sense of security therefore providing for a safe shopping environment for women and children.

4 3 Wayfinding entrance

To easily orient the public towards the entry points, the office towers have been integrated with the shopping complex at the entrances .

4 Facade texturing

The facade of the shopping complex is kept simple to avoid overcrowding of branding,Metal screen facade has been proposed.

A dynamic art sculpture born in Vikram Nagar slum of Delhi, Upahar Chakra (gift box) believes wealth can be produced from waste. One man’s waste is another man’s resource.Upahar chakra recognises common events in Vikram Nagar like children playing with plastic bottles, street dogs scavenging for waste and slum dwellers hunting for resourceful items and tries to give them these small pleasures from waste in a pleasantly magical way.

C-3

Inspiration from site

Jugaad

C#’s home

The design strongly depends on objects obtained from the lsum itself. Intense scavenging through the slum leads us to find interesting objects with a lot of story and possibility. The idea here is to reuse discarded objects. Jugaad means frugal innovation.Sometimes it better to work in a bottom to top approach.

The best spot for c# would be to position it at a very visible and interactive spot. The main slum street is chosen as the site. This would capture the attention of the children and the local people.
