PRINSESSAN ESTELLES SKULPTURPARK

Every year, the Sculpture Park grows with a new artwork, aiming to increase interest in contemporary art. The fourth piece in the collection is “Osagd” by Charlotte Gyllenhammar, who is the first Swedish artist to be presented by the Princess Estelle Foundation. The park also features the contemporary artworks “Hoop-La” by Alice Aycock, “Life Rings” by Elmgreen & Dragset, and “Wind Sculpture in Bronze I” by Yinka Shonibare CBE.

Varje år växer Skulpturparken med ett nytt konstverk. En plats som vill öka intresset för samtidskonst. Det fjärde verket i samlingen är ”Osagd” av Charlotte Gyllenhammar som är den första svenska konstnär att presenteras av Prinsessan Estelles Stiftelse. Det största museet för svensk och nordisk kulturhistoria och i år fyller museet 150 år. Detta firas med en rad händelser och evenemang. Här får du koll på tidernas godaste mat och upptäcker byggnadens arkitektur och historia. Varför inte prova på traditionellt hantverk i nutida form och utforska människans och skogens långa relation? Eller ta chansen till närkontakt med figurer från dåtiden som slipper lös från vinden under årets mest magiska nätter.

In the middle of Stockholm there is a meeting place of the past and the present, animals and culture, tradition and trend. The soul of Sweden in the world’s oldest and most lively open-air museum. A perfect family outing for visiting historical Sweden in miniature – learn more about traditional crafts and traditions. Here you can find 150 farms and residential houses from different parts of the country, which have been disassembled and shipped here. All the Nordic animals are here too, such as moose, lynx, wolves, wolverines, and eagles. There are also numerous restaurants and charming cafés that will lay the table according to tradition and season.

Exhibition about the Swedish music group ABBA. This year, ABBA The Museum celebrates its 10th anniversary with a brand new exhibition. “ABBA Voyage” takes visitors behind the scenes of the creation of the virtual concert experience and includes exclusive interviews, photos, and the stage costumes created by B Åkerlund in collaboration with, among others, Dolce & Gabbana and Michael Schmidt.

I år firar ABBA The Museum 10 år med en helt ny utställning. ”ABBA Voyage” tar med besökaren bakom kulisserna i skapandet av den virtuella konsertupplevelsen och innehåller exklusiva intervjuer, bilder och de scenkläder som B Åkerlund skapat i samarbete med bland andra Dolce & Gabbana och Michael Schmidt.

See the Vasa Ship, which is the only preserved 17th-century ship in the world and a unique artistic treasure. The ship, which sank in the middle of the Stockholm bay on its maiden voyage in 1628, was salvaged 333 years later in 1961. Consisting of more than 95% of the original, the ship offers a unique insight into the early 17th-century Sweden.
