Company History Adrian Buckley was born in Yorkshire in the sixties and left school at sixteen to work for the small family retail business. Aged twenty he went to work for Cadburys, and already showing signs of great salesmanship, started working for one of the world’s largest Gold and Diamond Companies as a product developer. Liaising with all the major high street retailers, he discovered his real talent lay in identifying beautiful jewellery designs that would sell commercially. When interviewed by the Chairman of the Fine Jewellery company, it became apparent that Adrian could spot a winning product and the term then given to him was

‘Tam’, an old Jewish expression, meaning ‘amazingly good taste’.
A few years later in 1989, Adrian started his own company, Buckley Jewellery, which has become one the most successful costume jewellery manufacturing businesses in the UK. Buckley Jewellery has won many accolades over the years including “Best Costume Jewellery in the UK” four times, ‘Best Inflight Product’ at the 2011 Airline Retail Awards. In 2011 Adrian designed a not-for-profit jewel encrusted ‘Buckley Poppy’ for the Royal British Legion and has recently donated an amazing £1.6m to this cause.

product inspiration Beautiful Sterling Silver Jewellery BOUTON is a designer jewellery brand created in 2012 by Adrian Buckley of Buckley Jewellery, the leading UK costume jewellery manufacturers. Adrian has spent over two years designing with his in-house team. “I have waited a long time to finally launch my own brand and really wanted to create a more premium collection of pretty, easy to wear sterling silver jewellery for women who like to have fun and look fantastic. The pieces consist of dazzling cubic zirconia crystals using our amazing micro pave techniques. I also wanted to create a range of beautiful jewellery that would last for decades, due to the highest levels of craftsmanship.“ Inspired by his knowledge of micro pave manufacturing and design he knew he could produce a range to rival the current stone encrusted brands and provide a new, beautiful, range of fine jewellery. ‘BOUTON has taken me half a lifetime to come to, and my main wish is that is gives endless years of pleasure to the wearer’ adds Adrian, ‘no compromise on style, quality or precision has been made in the creation of this collection’. The word ‘BOUTON’ was inspired by Adrian’s love of vintage pearl earrings, also known as small studs sometimes with an amazingly intricate design and many of the pieces also feature an exclusive ‘BOUTON’ button.

the jewellery Pieces are hallmarked in London with the BOUTON 1989 registered trademark Bouton is made using a special micro pave technique, in which very small stones are used to obtain a gem encrusted look with very little silver showing. While the setting style goes back to the earliest days of jewellery making, the finished product - coming from the hands of the BOUTON master setter - has made for some of the most magnificently beautiful and intricate designs with the stones set in entirely by hand. All pieces are sterling silver mark 925 with rhodium plating, a metal which is part of the platinum family and will never rust or lose its super-sparkle and all the stones are hand set cubic zirconia gems. The 100 piece Bouton collection consists of celebratory rings, stacker rings, earrings, pendants and bracelets, charms, cufflinks and showstopper necklaces containing over 600 gems.

Ms Bouton The Bouton woman aspires to be as chic as a Parisian Effortlessly stylish with classic good looks whether she is age 18 or 80. She likes to wear simple, classy jewellery which does not overtake or stand out too much, rather it complements an outfit and provides a talking point ... ’the fine chain, the terrifically shiny gem coloured stones, the decadent look but at a great price’. Ms Bouton is not fashionable or trendy, but truly feminine and stylish, appreciates quality and great design, likes to dress well and knows how to have a good time.
Her dream day starts off with breakfast with mum (they get on like a house on fire), a chauffeur driven classic car picks her up for a day of shopping with girlfriends in Fenwick’s and Liberty’s, polished off with a posh full on cream tea at Fortnum & Mason. Then it’s off to catch the Eurostar at St Pancras for a romantic dinner date in Paris which ends up with an impromptu stay at a great old hotel, like The Crillon , right next to the Champs Elysees, complete with four poster bed and breathtaking views of the city. Ms BOUTON loves to wear the stacker rings every day at work and then pop on the cultured pearl earrings for a meeting then add an amazing silver jewelled collar when going out to a celebratory dinner or impromptu party. Her favourite tipple is champagne or cocktails, she prefers to travel in black cabs or if possible old classic sports cars, always has a perfect petite French manicure, likes sipping Earl Grey tea with a drop of milk, watches ‘Strictly’ on a Saturday, relishes nostalgic black and white musicals and loves to go out dancing in her super slinky forties style cocktail dress with her hair all pinned up once in a while. She’s a woman who makes a holiday of life and treads through it lightly. She likes to make a statement and have fun, although also likes to be provocative and shy, even coy, playful, acting on a whim. Favourite pastimes are of course shopping, cinema, café and canoodling with the loved one. Romance is a big part of her life and favourite London lover destinations include St Pancras Grand for its champagne bar, The Ritz for its silver service tea as it really is the best and there’s no need for alcohol at that time, a walk in St James park right next to the palace for posing, pomp and fresh air then over to Liberty’s for its presents, perfumes, shoes and stationary. The boyfriend secretly knows she likes the lobster and frites at Randell & Aubin in Soho, watching films at the Electric Cinema and window shopping on Bond Street late after a hot chocolate at Patisserie Valerie.
