ASIAN MEDICAL STUDENTS' ASSOCIATION
INDONESIA OFFICIAL BOOKLET
Foreword
Dear people of tomorrow, As a national medical student organization, our vision reflects the essence of AMSA that lies within the core philosophies: Knowledge, Action, and Friendship. In Knowledge, we open our eyes and broaden our knowledge to the global medical issues. In Action, we empower the role of medical students for community betterment. Working with Kementerian Kesehatan Republik Indonesia is one of our ways to implement the knowledge, working as medical students for the longterm commitment improving the nation’s health thoroughly. Last but not the least, in Friendship, we enthusiastically strengthen and expand our network by building a vast familial environment. In synergy, all philosophies are synergistically blended on strengthening our organization.
Since the beginning, AMSA Indonesia has been actively participating in plethora of national and international events. Our contribution shows a tremendous amount of passion to give positive impacts to the members, the societies, the nations, and other chapters under the membership of AMSA International. Twenty years since its birth, thousands of members are proud to call AMSA as a home. Now, passionate youths from almost all parts of Indonesia has contributed their efforts and we are expecting to give more positive impact to the society in the near future. Twenty years of AMSA was not built alone. We actively signed partnerships and worked with various NGOs and INGOs to radiate the positive impact towards community in a larger and greater scale. We expanded our memberships effectively and gather all efforts and passion to thrive in unity as one family, AMSAIndonesia. I wish this booklet would give you the information needed in regard to AMSAIndonesia. Do not hesitate to contact the me shall you have any question or seek further information. Thank you.

AMSEP Asian Medical Students' Exchange Program
AMSA足Indonesia makes it possible for its members to have an exchange to other countries through AMSEP. It started back in 2003 of which, from that moment on, the growth significantly increases every year. AMSEP bilateral system was established in 2006. Now, the chapters that are involved in AMSEP including Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, United Kingdom, Australia, and Egypt. AMSEP creates opportunities for the international preclinical and clinical exchanges between AMSA chapters.
It is commonly a 7足day program, depending on the hosting country, but every program should contain at least the following aspects: academic activity, social activity, cultural exchange, and city tour. This program, therefore, fulfills the whole AMSA visions: Knowledge, Action, and Friendship in a distinct way.
OUTGOINGS/ OUTBOUND Outgoing/outbound is the part of AMSEP when we send delegates to the partner chapter. Every active AMSA member of AMSA-Indonesia can apply to be the delegate in the outgoing AMSEP. The registration requires CV, motivation letter, recommendation letter, and registration fee.
INCOMINGS/ INBOUND Incomings/inbound is the part of AMSEP when we host the delegates from the client chapter.
We have been actively participating in AMSEP since it started back then. In the last 3 years, AMSA足Indonesia has been involved in many AMSEP deals with other chapters such as Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, Japan, and Taiwan. AMSEP is a twinning program, hence basically there are 2 main parts in AMSEP, the incomings/inbound and the outgoings/outbound.
