Sherwin Williams The Sherwin Williams brand is more than just paint. It is more than just a name. It is a set of ideals and attributes that reflects the character of our company. Using this identity consistently will reinforce our global renown of good quality service and excelent quality products.

This booklet is an overview of our brand guidelines, displaying how to apply all of our new visual components of our brand. It includes directions on how to use our signature logo, colors, typefaces and other brand elements.

Brand Attributes Our brand attributes descirbe exactly what our company stands for. It shows our customers how we strive for quality in every aspect of our company.

Signature Logo Our logo signature is the most important expression of the Sherwin Williams brand. This is why it must be used as show and not altered. This signature is a piece of expertly custom-designed artwork. This signature consists of the wordmark inside a custome plaque. If you have any questions about the signature logo, please contact us using the contact information at the back of this booklet.

Logo Clear Space To create maximum impact of the new Sherwin Williams logo, keep the space around the signature free from other text and graphics. The clear space on each side of the signature should always be equal to or greater than the height of the swirl line underneath the wordmark.

Logo Color Variations The logos show below are the only approved color variations that are to be used in Sherwin Williams design.

Identity Typeface Below are approved typefaces that should be used throughout the Sherwin Williams company. By utilizing these typfaces, it will create a sense of unity throughout the company. Nueva should be used for headers and sub headers and Minion Pro should be used for body copy.

Identity Colors Color shows our essence and helps to promotes brand awareness. Our new colors, Ocean Depths and Grandma’s Cookies, help to show our new timeless look. There are other specific colors in our new palette that are used in our new design elements and can be used for other various design asethetics. The exatct colors are listed below.

Minimum Size The Sherwin Williams logo should never exceed the specified mimimum size demonstrated below.

Other Elements Along with the logo, there is one additional element that is apart of the Sherwin Williams brand. As you can see on the left, the 12 diagonal lines intersect to make an extended diamond shape. This element isn’t required in every Sherwin Williams design, but it should be used as an additive were necessary. Each line is exactly at a 450 angle and always should remian as thus. This graphic should be provided for any design work so replication isn’t necessary. As seen in this book, the opacity can be changed but that is the only change that is acceptable to make to this element.
