this innovative technical solution, which was designed by consultant Pansound and installed by leading systems integrator Panatronic, each and every room is now equipped with the very latest audio-visual and networking equipment. Fully integrated as part of one centralised, AMX-driven system, rooms have the flexibility to operate independently, allowing each to cater for a wide range of different functions including presentations, lectures or family parties, or, with one touch of an AMX control panel, all rooms can be technologically-joined together for the mass screening of events; forming what is undisputedly the largest hospitality space within Salzburg‘s hotel and catering industry.

A gastronomic landmark in the historic centre of Salzburg, the Sternbräu has become one of the city’s largest and most popular Inns. With one touch of an AMX control panel, separate rooms can be technologically-joined together; forming what is undisputedly the largest hospitality space within Salzburg‘s hotel and catering industry.

With no dedicated in-house technicians, a simple user experience was an important system prerequisite. Stylish 7“ Modero S Series control panels make controlling the technology easy, as part of a solution designed to enable non-technical staff, individual guests, corpoarte clients or even live acts to share their own AV content from their own devices, and control audio-visual elements simply and intuitively, regardless of their familarity with the system. Control in the upper level is delivered via AMX’s innovative TPControl Application which transforms the Sternbräu’s iPad into a fully functioning touch panel. Connecting as a native AMX device to the master controller, this innovative App provides real-time, touch control of automation functions, as fast as a regular panel, and allows the status of all rooms to be monitored, at a glance. Furthermore, an AMX NMX-ENC H.264 Encoder, with its video streaming functionality, provides additional monitoring capabilities, allowing the integrator to virtually control the system, in real time, by using the remote maintenance function. In an emergency, the integrator can retrieve the technical status by remotely accessing the system and intervene, if required.

zones as desired in real time. The “Sternlounge” can be transformed into a live club by just making a simple preset change and the provision for live musicians includes a Soundcraft mixer, 18“ subwoofers and discreetly installed LED spotlights integrated into the furniture; delivering added value for guests and operators without any additional effort. Overall, this innovative system solution succeeds in delivering an extremely high level of AV integration and performance, without compromising system usability or architectural integrity. Now that’s something to drink to!

Elsewhere, two AMX Inspired Signage players deliver a signage solution to two distinct display zones. The Inspired Composer user interface enables the creation an unlimited portfolio of schedules with start and end times that match the exact requirements. Furthermore, schedules can be configured to draw content from a variety of sources, individually or in combination, and schedule changes can be made days or weeks in advance, or just a few seconds before they are due on screen.

Stylish Modero touch panels make controlling the technology easy and intuitive

The entire sound system for the house and garden was primarily realised by using JBL loudspeakers. Apart from the built-in speakers in corridors and toilets, the enclosures of both standard and ceiling speakers were finished with pre-defined colour tones and special coatings, in order to integrate them into the sophisticated architecture of the guest rooms. For amplifier technology, Crown DCI multi-channel models of different output categories were used, while signal processing and zone management were achieved by using well-proven Soundweb BLU solutions. AMX touch panels or BLU controllers are used as control elements for the individual zones, while the AMX iPad app provides the Facility Manager with a practical administration option in order to manage all
