AMY JOHNSTON CAPSULE COLLECTION soup. You are part of the problem. You are the threat. Disposable Disposable Disposable Disposable Disposable; by no means dissolvable. The knot of man neglects our waves ‘The Sands are shifting from earth to man our troubles are turning on the waves’ The heart of our planets health; betrayed. Engulfing your disposables; ‘a brew of single use, a stew of excess … a soup of thoughtlessness. A soup of disposable sundrieds … laying waste … stirred with the plastic spoon of consumerism. Salty waves of spent tears, the ocean mends our souls’ You are the threat. The knot of man cannot be undone. The mirror pools of Samara Scott reflect consumerism. The photographs of Mandy Barker affirm the scale of waste. Acidic bright tones, un-natural twists intrude a fabrics natural drape portraying the interruption of man. AMY JOHNSTON x H&M s o u p.
For this diffusion collection it was important to incorporate the concept; raising awareness of ocean pollution. By diffusing the collection into a lingerie collection for h&m I was able to re-incorporate and diffuse the silhouttes from the soup collection. The colour pallette was adapted to darker tones to suit the Autum/ Winter Season. The use oof sheer is increased and the concept is reiterated with a new print. This is a cosy lingerie customer. The collection
and loungewear aimed at the H&M combines soft lingerie and knitwear.
