Special Edition Princess Sessions CLIENT GUIDE
Hello & Welcome Thank you so much for your interest in booking an AKP Special Edition Princess Session for the special princess in your life. AKP’s Special Edition Princess Sessions were created in 2016 as a unique way to capture the magic of childhood, and to make each little girl feel like a real-life princess. Each session is unique and magical. Just like with AKP’s traditional family and childrens’s sessions, I will be here with you from session consultation through delivery of your prints, wall art, and digital files. I want to make this experience easy and fun for both you and your princess. The Collections and a la carte product menu for these sessions are filled with beautiful, hand-picked, heirloom quality products that will ensure that you will be able to look back on your session for years to come. You will be able to choose your Collection and a la carte items two weeks after your session, when I come to you for your Session Premiere Night. Collections are available for purchase at your Premiere Night only. You’ll also enjoy an extra discount on a la carte items at your Session Premiere! FAQs Q. Where do you get your dresses, and what sizes do you have? A. My dresses come from several childrens’ couture dress makers. I have a variety of sizes, and also a variety of dresses. The dresses are very adjustable and will fit children of different sizes. (For example, a size 6 may fit a child from size 5 through 8). Additionally, my main dressmaker also rents dresses. If you would like a dress different than what I have in stock, please consult with me about renting one.
Q. What should I do for my child’s hair and makeup? That is up to you. Most parents will go with fancy but not too over the top (for example, loose curls or a simple updo. Makeup is at your discretion. I’ve had some young ladies who wear light makeup and some au naturel. If you need recommendations for someone to do hair or makeup, I can provide those.
Q. What if it rains on the day of my session? If there is inclement weather on the day of your session, we will absolutely reschedule.
Q. What shoes should my child wear? That depends on the dress as well as the setting and time of year. For floor-length dresses, shoes will not be visible in photos, and your child can wear whatever shoes are comfortable. In warm weather, weathe some girls are barefoot. A pair of sparkly flats coordinating with the dress (if it’s shorter) is also a good choice.
Q. Can I have more than one child at my session? These sessions were specially designed for one child. That said, up to three children (girls or boys) may participate in the session, with a $25 fee for each extra child. I also offer traditional sibling and family sessions which are more suited to multiple children, and I’d be happy to shoot one of those for you.

Rather than traditional photo sessions where children need to sit, pose, and smile, these sessions are all about childhood and fun. We’ll spin, dance, play with glitter, and blow bubbles. My goal is to capture your princess’ true personality while she is in her element.
