“Firstly apply your foundation try Double Wear Light Stay-inPlace Makeup SPF 10 (£24.50) – for durability and a natural glow. While your foundation is still wet, apply Estée Lauder Signature Creme Blush in Nude Light (£23) along the area under cheekbones to contour and define. Apply Estée Lauder Signature Powder Blush in Fresh Pink Kiss (£23) on the apples of your cheeks to lift and brighten.

Apply an ivory coloured eye-shadow all over the eye lid including on the brow bone to highlight eyes and then use a soft peach, lilac or taupe colour on the lid itself and use the same colour underneath the eye as eyeliner. Choose waterproof mascara for obvious reasons! Estée Lauder have a new mascara launching in April called Sumptuous Waterproof Mascara (£18) which gives fabulous full lashes and will stay on during those emotional moments. Apply a pretty, neutral lip pencil and then choose a complementary lip colour. You want to keep lips soft in colour and kissable for this look, so I’d recommend Estée Lauder Double Wear Lip Pencil in Spice (£15) and Estée Lauder Double Wear Lipstick in Stay Rose (£16); both products will stay put for up to 12 hours so they are great choices for your wedding day.”

I love it.” The creamy wash is a perfect way to add a first layer, which can be followed by the Hydrating Body Lotion (£31) for sweet-smelling skin before a spritz of the Eau de Parfum(£55). Hair with... Lee Stafford The celebrity hairdresser shows us how to recreate red carpet hair ready for the aisle. “This year the Oscars took their lead from the catwalks with styles clearly inspired by the exciting new combinations of textures seen at fashion shows over the last couple of seasons. Adding matte textures to a glamorous up-do in this way brings an edgy youthful side to a classic red carpet or bridal look, giving it a very contemporary twist. I love how the addition of texture has allowed a luscious depth in the hair leaving it looking young and fun.” CREDIT: Todd Wawrychuk - ©A.M.P.A.S

Lee’s style kit… Lee Stafford Matt Fat Powder, £8.99, Featherlight Stormforce Hairdryer £49.99, Hold Tight Firm Hold Hairspray, £4.99, all available at Boots www.boots.com

1 Blow dry hair until it is 90% dry, then gather into a loose pony at the nape of your neck. 2 Twist your hair round on itself into a tight low bun, then spritz all over with a super hold hairspray like my Lee Stafford Hold Tight (£4.99). 3 Next, ‘bake’ your bun with a hairdryer for 15 minutes on a medium heat setting. If you use my Kurl Sock Fabric Diffuser it will concentrate the heat onto the hair without the blow, helping hair to set without flying all over the place. 4 Let your locks cool for 15 minutes, then release from the bun and run your fingers through it. Voilà, you will now have beautifully tousled flyaway-free hair with plenty of movement and bounce - ready for styling. 5 Now, back comb hair at the crown to give extra root lift - sprinkling some Matt Fat Powder will add even more oomph and a matt texture to hair. 6 Then gather hair into a pony at the crown of your head, secure with a band, then back-brush the main body of the pony to inject another boost of volume. 7 Twist hair round on itself until it coils into a loose bun. Pin into place using pins - make sure they’re the same colour as your hair! 8 Use your fingers to gently tease out strands of hair, so your up-do doesn’t look too groomed.
