Poster 1- The Prestige (2006)
Christoper Nolan Exclusive Film Weekend
The main aesthetic of all three posters is type as image. The font for each poster represents it’s own style and setting, the type has been manipulated to make an abstract image. This first poster is based upon the film ‘The Prestige’ in the story two rival magicians compete to be
the best. The ‘P’s’ represent this opposition, they also represent the fact that there is two main characters. As well as this they hint to one of the magic tricks the magicians perform in the film. The counters of the counters represent the magicians hats, and multiplication.

Poster 2- Inception (2010)
Christoper Nolan Exclusive Film Weekend
In this poster the ‘I’ has been used to create the image. In the film there is a lot of deeper levels and nothing is straight forward. The outline of the ‘I’ has been tilted in different directions to show this and this makes the ‘I’ look like it is getting deeper.
The white space, also made from the ‘I’ has been used to create contrast like in each of the posters. As well as this all the posters are a dark blue, which is a consistent colour used for Christopher Nolan films.

Poster 3- Interstellar (2014)
Christoper Nolan Exclusive Film Weekend
This poster represents the film Interstellar. In the story the space crew must go through a wormhole to get to another galaxy, this poster represents this scene. The big black circle, representing the wormhole has made with the ‘O’ of the chosen font (Big Caslon) it has
it’s counter removed to make the hole. The rocket is a manipulated ‘I’ and the two circles are the title of the lowercase ‘i’ th larger represents Earth, and the smaller a new far away planet. The quote also links to this idea of leaving Earth.
