Textile Shield Stain/Water/Oil Repellent DryWired™ Textile Shield is a water-based, non-toxic, durable water repellent (DWR) nanocoating that can be applied as a transparent spray or liquid dip to natural and synthetic fibers. Unlike other hydrophobic fabric coatings, Textile Shield won’t change the look, feel or breathability of the fabric. In laboratory testing, our coating achieved 150 degree super-hydrophobic contact angles on natural and synthetic textiles. In addition, Textile Shield is resistant to harsh detergents and demonstrates excellent self-cleaning properties with continuous performance up to 30 washes. Textile Shield has a variety of applications including: apparel, automotive fabrics and indoor/outdoor upholstery. Textile Shield Anti-bacterial Test Results DryWired hired Microstar laboratories to prove the efficacy of its nanocoatings. The following AATCC Test Method 100-2012: test was performed by Microstar. Test Procedure: Expose swatches of coated material to a specified type of bacteria for a 24 hour period, measuring bacteria count at the time of introduction and the end of the 24 hour period. Compare to understand the nature of the coating.

Textile Shield Case Study – Hotel Client: Ace Hotel – Palm Springs Date: 2016 Location: Palm Springs Challenge: Ace Hotel uses canvas fabric throughout their Palm Springs resort. The light-colored fabric was constantly geRng soiled from dust and other surface contaminants. Solution: Textile Shield provided the canvas with a self-cleaning super-hydrophobic surface allowing it to clean itself more efficiently thereby preventing the need to replace the fabric throughout the resort.

Textile Shield Case Study – Restaurant Client: Delilah Restaurant Date: 2017 Location: Palm Springs Challenge: Delilah’s high-end upholstery in their hybrid restaurant and lounge was suscep8ble to staining.
