Benefits of DryWired Vans Stores

•  Vans needs to keep their stores cool during hot climates. Conventional glass insulation technologies like window film darken window displays, provide weak infrared protection and limited UV protection. •  Daily exterior cleaning of Vans Stores wastes water, labor hours and uses harsh chemicals. •  Dyes, glues, and paints off-gas crea8ng harmful air quality condi8ons in retail environments. This affects patron safety and worker's health. SOLUTION •  DryWired’s suite of nanocoatings solve all challenges for Vans Stores by providing revolutionary liquid glass insulation to store-front windows, a photo-catalytic coating to auto-clean exteriors and uses the power of light to improve air quality. Anti-Graffiti Sacrificial anti-graffiti coating

DryWired’s Anti-Graffiti coating does not allow paints and other liquids to penetrate porous or painted surfaces. Anti-Graffiti provides a cost-effective and environmentally safe way to protect assets from vandalism. It creates an invisible and impenetrable sacrificial barrier that will allow for graffiti to be removed without the need for toxic solvents – only hot water. In addition, the coating increases longevity of porous and painted surfaces by providing protection against moisture, humidity and weathering and will not break down due to extreme temperatures or exposure to UV light. Examples of Use •  •  •  •  •  •  •  •  •

Real and Artificial stone Concrete Cinder blocks Ceramics Plaster Bricks Limestone Sandstone Painted surfaces

Product Characteristics •  No change in appearance or feel of the substrate •  Prevents penetration of water or oil based liquids and paints •  Protects from stains and soiling •  Exhibits a non-stick characteristic •  Invisible sacrificial protective

LumActiv How It Works

In 1967, PhD student Akira Fujishima working in a small lab at the University of Tokyo discovered that the anatase form of titanium dioxide, a common food pigment, decomposes volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and other air pollutants when exposed to UV light. More than 48 years and over 3,000 academic studies later, scientists agree that global air pollution can be positively impacted by the widespread application of photo-catalytic anatase titanium dioxide coatings.

In the presence of light, the compounds that our coating is capable of decomposing include nitrogen oxides (NOx), carbon monoxide (CO), formaldehyde, benzene, allergens, pathogens, odors and other volatile organic compounds (VOCs). These pollutants are converted into non-toxic compounds like carbon dioxide, water and nitrates. PROPRIETARY & CONFIDENTIAL

LumActiv Outdoor Air Purification

10,000 ft2 of building facade-surface coated by DryWired will remove the same amount of pollutants in a 12 hour period as 70 full-grown broadleaved trees.

2,000 ft2 of DryWired coated roofing is able to decompose the same quantity of Nitrogen Oxide (NOx) per year that a gasoline driven car emits during 10,563 miles of driving.

“The results of the study provide evidence that the photo-catalytic treatment, based on TiO2 coating and UV-A light irradiation, has beneficial effects on methane.” – Journal of Environmental Management, August 8, 2011

“…it will be effective to locate photo-catalytic oxidizing surfaces near pollutant sources, where the concentration is high, such as along congested roads.” –Lawrence Berkeley National Labs, 2007 study on TiO2 PCO for California Energy Commission

15

LumActiv + PCO = Healthier Interiors DryWired’s PCO technology will continuously clean rooms providing improved air quality and surface sanitation for guests and workers. The PCO unit actively outputs a stream of molecules which attack and destroy pathogens on a continual basis. •  Generates a process called active photo-catalytic oxidation (PCO) •  Forms and releases large clusters of positively and negatively charged ions: multi-clustered ions (MCIs) •  Attacks microbes (bacteria, viruses, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), allergens, molds, and odors), wherever they exist in the indoor environment •  Continues to treat the environment with MCIs on a continual basis •  Has been proven unequivocally by independent universities and laboratories on a global basis to be highly effective and safe •  Is at work in many clinical, commercial, and residential buildings, as well as on the international space station

LumActiv Visible Light Photo-catalysis Photocatalytic oxidation had once only been possible under the presence of UV light and now with the chemistry DryWired has to oer, is now reactive into the visible light spectrum. The activation of this reaction in by visible light is possible through the doping of TiO2 with silver ions. Visible Light

A light intensity of only 100 Lux is required for activation of our TiO2 coating. The greater the lux the greater the photo-catalytic

Indoor Air Quality in Retail Stores

17

•  A study sponsored by, the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers(ASHRAE), states that it is nearly impossible for an existing ventilation system to eliminate airborne particulates without the aid of air filtration devices. •  Among commercial buildings, retail buildings rank second in energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, after office buildings (Zhang et al. 2011, Kennedy et al. 2012). •  Retail sites that sell clothing can be a source for textile particles and harmful VOC off-gassing. •  Lack of air circulation promotes poor air quality for workers and customers •  Grocery stores showed 2.6 times mass concentration of particulate matter than the national ambient air quality standards •  Outdoor retail shops use a tremendous amount of un-insulated glass and glass cleaning costs run high.

LumActiv Case Study – Offices

Client: ExxonMobil Date: 2017 Location: OCONUS Product Used: PCO Unit Challenge: Interior air quality continued to deteriorate despite the implementation of high end air filtration systems. Solution: Drywired's PCO Unit was introduced and air quality measurements were taken to measure the impact. Initial Total VOC count (T-VOC) was measured at 1646 μg which is far above the acceptable threshold limit of 300 μg. Twenty-four hours after the introduction of the DryWired PCO Unit, the T-VOC count was reduced to 255 μg, an 645% reduction.
