Harvard Park Day Nursery Feltham April Newsletter 2014. News from the Managers Nicki and Tracey –

Can we please ask parents to make sure that their contact details are all correct including phone numbers, email addresses and home addresses? There are a few occasions where we have been unable to contact parents due to wrong contact details. Thank You. Also, we are sad to say that Gulcan and Sneha will not be returning to Harvard Park after their maternity leave. They have chosen to stay with their babies and we wish them and their families all the best for the future. Important notice and a health and safety notice: Please do not let your children press the buttons to get out of the building these are for parents only! Children will become unaware of safety boundaries that surround this and this can cause them harm. We also want you to be aware of the front door. Do not let your children run towards the front door! Some children are unaware that if this door shuts on them it is going to hurt! It is a safety door and is there to keep our children safe. We will be celebrating Harvard Park’s 6 th birthday on Wednesday 16th April! We have party games and party teas so don’t forget to dress in your party clothes!

News from Deputy Carol- If you are not sending you child to school nursery and would

like them to stay here please can you let managers or keyworker know as soon as possible please. We will also be running an Easter bonnet or an Easter creation competition (where everyone will win something for taking part)! Create something over the Easter weekend for your children to bring in to show their peers and have an Easter parade. Use material, foil and other creative bits at home and bring your entries in for Tuesday 22nd April! Reminders will be on Facebook so don’t forget them!

News from Baby Studio –Sana, Mary, Gurpreet, Diluni, Nabila and Megan (who will also be covering in other rooms):

We would like to start saying goodbye to Sneha and welcome to Benjamin and Daniel into Baby studio. Our theme for the month is focusing on Physical Development, which is one prime area of the EYFS and development in general. Our activities will focus on developing new and existing skills that our children have. We will be supporting our pre-walkers who are ready to take their first steps alongside experimenting with different ways of moving such as rolling, climbing and jumping using soft play and for the toddlers using the large wooden blocks in the outside area. The toddlers will also be able to learn to use push-a-longs and small tricycles. We will be developing their finer motor skills but doing lots of painting activities using a range of equipment including hands, rollers and stamps. April is going to be a fun filled month for our babies and toddlers as we will be doing and creating Easter masterpieces too! We would like to wish everyone Happy Easter! Just a reminder to parents to please bring in/ email family pictures for our family tree’s in our learning journals as well as their puppets. We would also like a new born picture of your child for our Special delivery board if you haven’t already done so. Your mission this month is to: - Bring in family photos for your child’s learning journals and puppets.

Can parents please join our Facebook site as we are trialling our news letters on our new site to save our trees! We will of course print of a few copies to those parents who do not have access to a computer. We will also display a copy on our parents table. .
