Harvard Park Pre-School Isleworth: December Newsletter 2016 News from the Managers, Nicki and Tracey and Deputy Manager, Natalie – Welcome to December! We would like to remind you that our online profile system EY log is now fully functional. Please check your emails for an email from them to set up your account to be able to access your child’s learning journal. If you have any questions or queries, please do not hesitate to ask us. AN IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR ALL PARENTS AND CARERS: If your child is over 3 years of age, please do not bring them in a buggy. We understand that they may not walk fast or they may take their time, but they are developing important physical skills and exercising by walking. If you are running late, going to be absent from the session due to sickness or are going on holiday, please inform us. We plan things such as outings around how many children are in on that day. If we are waiting for you and you are not coming in, other children miss out. Please remember that we do close our gate at 8:45am. Please be on time. December- it’s going to be a very busy month! The table below shows all the important dates you will need to put down on your calenders or in your diaries: Monday 5th December

Please do not feel you have to write Christmas cards, the option is there. We do encourage your children also having a go at writing some too!

If you have changed your contact details such as mobile numbers or have moved house, please come to the management desk and change the details we have so we can suitably contact you.
News from Natalie, Dee, Eva, Jeanna, Mandy, Lacey, and Amy: Thank you to those who have been bringing in fruit each week. Please ensure that it is sealed in its original packaging and it can be as exotic as you like, but please avoid strawberries and pineapple as we do have some allergies to them. We would like to remind you about our all about me boxes. Over
the festive break, keep a box spare and decorate it with your child. Fill it with items which they have chosen (and things they won’t miss) bring it to pre-school so we are able to share it with all of their friends. It is a great tool to create bonds and developing language. For the month of December, we will be (of course) looking at and learning about the celebration of Christmas. We will be creating our own decorations, small keepsakes to treasure forever, investigating Christmas objects during our rolling groups and learning new Christmassy songs. Please make sure you are taking all your child’s art work home. DO NOT let your children bring in sweets or chewing gum into the setting. We like to promote healthy eating and chewing gum is a choking hazard. Due to a change in weather please remember to dress your child appropriately for the weather as well as bringing in a thick winter coat, hat, gloves and scarf. These need to be labelled with your child’s name so they do not go missing or get mixed up with our spares. We do go outside in all weather and we occasionally go for a trip, therefore your child needs to feel as warm as possible. Please take everything home at the end of term. If you have any lost property, please ask us in January. If you have any old magazines, phone books or multi-cultural food packing, before you throw it out could we have it for our home corner? We are developing that area to represent our homes a little bit more. Any form of contribution would be great. Mission of the month: - Pop some pictures of you and your family getting festive onto your EY log profile. It could be helping to wrap gifts, decorating the tree or going out to choose a tree. Simple click the plus sign at the top of the screen and add the observation with a picture. Can’t wait to see them! Just a few notes to start off the month of December: If you have any girls clothing you are getting rid of or your child has grown out of, could you please consider donating them to us as we are running extremely low. Anything will be a big help to us. Remember to use the signing out board to sign your children in and out of the building, thank you. Also, remember once you collect your child from their groups, they are your responsibility so DO NOT let them push the door handle to let themselves out. ADULTS ONLY!!!!!! We would like to wish a very Happy Birthday to Nicki, Amy.S, Alia, Ainee, Arman, Dontaye, Micah, Rehan and Tate.
This is a message from Smallberry Green School: DO NOT Park in front of or outside the school gates. You will get in trouble if they see you on their CCTV. Do not park inside the car park either; Harvard Park will get in trouble for this too. If the gate is open, the CCTV is still in operation and they will register your number plate, approaching you if you park in the car park.
We would like to say we wish you all a very merry Christmas and hope you have a lovely new year! Let’s welcome 2017 with open arms and get ready for new learning! Can parents please join our Facebook site as we are trialling our newsletters on our new site to save our trees! Just type in Harvard Park Pre-school and Day Nursery into your search engine (i.e. Google) and we should pop up! We regularly update this page with pictures, messages and notices. We will of course print off a few copies for those parents who do not have access to a computer. We will also display a copy on our Parents Table.
