Attention to all of our funded children: We would like to address an issue about nonattendees and absences. If your child is absent for up to 2 weeks and you have failed to make contact with us, you will receive a letter through the post, making you aware that your child’s place has now been lost. Our government funding and Early Years are very strict about this and these are the rules we have been given and must adhere by. Just a reminder about buggies and pushchairs. Where possible, 2 years olds can travel in an umbrella buggy but please fold it and store it in the correct place. If your child is 3 years or older, we will ask you to take the buggy home with you. At this age, they should not really be travelling in the buggy as it will impact on their psychical development. News from Natalie, Danielle, Dee, Eva, Parul, Jeanna, Marilyn, Sian, Lacey, Amy and Anusha: Our theme for this month will be all Space. We have already begun to look at this and so far have made our own rockets! There will be lots of activities based around this topic which will cover all areas of development. Please make sure you are checking our art table for things to take home. We will be looking at lots of different books such as factual ones and stories, singing songs like 5 little men in a flying saucer and looking at how astronauts walk in space, seeing if we can move them same. Ask you children about what they have learnt during their day at nursery and where possible note it down and bring it in for their folders!
