Harvard Park Pre School Isleworth July Newsletter 2014. News from the Managers Nicki and Tracey and deputy manager, Natalie – For some of you this will be the last newsletter you shall receive from us! We, at Harvard Park wish you all the best for your futures and if you are returning to us in the new term we will see you in September! If you haven’t informed us of your decision please do so asap! Most, if not, all of you should have received our new hour’s letter. If you haven’t please ask Managers or Deputy for a copy. You should have also received a letter about the end of term. Again please ask if you haven’t received it. For our 2 years olds who are staying: Your last day at pre-school will be Thursday 17th July. They will be participating in the Teddy Bears picnic which will be during the week of 7th. Bring in a teddy clearly labelled with your child’s name! Their leaver’s party will be next year. When the food list goes up you DO NOT need to write on it. For our LEAVERS: Come and join us on Friday 18th July (even if it is not your day)! Come at 9:00am and join our party games and graduation presentation. You do not need a packed lunch as there will be a food list up for you to contribute on. It is dress up or fancy dress.
Rani, Jeanna, Erin Sue, Rosa, Sam and Laura – Seema, Natalie Monica and Marilyn In last month’s newsletter we mentioned our leaver’s concert. Unfortunately we have had to cancel this as we have had a team discussion and decided it is too much stress and pressure for both our staff and children at such a busy time in the school term. Your child has their Learning journals to remember their time at Harvard Park and for them to treasure forever. So far this term we have been looking at our new schools, our new uniforms and what could be our new routines. We have school books with photographs of our new schools along with jumpers, uniform dresses and story books which are all helping us prepare for school. We sent out a small list of tips to parents to help ensure a smooth transition from pre-school to school. It is on Facebook but if you would like another copy please just ask a member of our team. If you are making the big transition to big school please don’t forget to take you r all about me boxes. Your key workers will be setting up small meetings with you to
talk through your child’s progress and to hand over their Learning Journal/s. This maybe the perfect opportunity for you to take them. If you are returning to us, you keyworker will also book a meeting with you to discuss your child’s progress and give you the chance to look at their Learning journals so far. We will be returning to Pre-school on the 2nd of September for a brand sparkling new term Big well done to all your parents who have been encouraging either walking or riding to pre-school! To avoid upset or confusion everything should be clearly labelled with your child’s name. Also remember once you collect your child from their groups they are your responsibility so DO NOT let them push the door handle to let themselves out. ADULTS ONLY!!!!!!

You are doing great so keep it up! We have noticed that some parents are still parking next to parked cars outside the school gates please do not do this! PLEASE REFRAIN FROM USING THE STAFF CAR PARK AT ANYTIME EVEN IF THE BARRIER IS UP/THEY DO HAVE CAMERAS AND HARVARD PARK DO GET INTO TROUBLE IF OUR PARENTS ARE SEEN DRIVING IN. THANK YOU Can parents please join our Facebook site as we are trialling our news letters on our new site to save our trees! Just type in Harvard Park Pre-school and Day Nursery and we should pop up! We regularly update this with pictures, messages and notices. We will of course print of a few copies to those parents who do not have access to a computer. We will also display a copy on our parents table.
