News from Natalie, Danielle, Dee, Eva, Parul, Jeanna, Marilyn, Lacey, Amy, Anusha and Mandy: Take the time to label your child’s clothes! We cannot be held responsible if items that are un-named go missing. Children do end up with same clothes, bottles coats etc. And with 70 children on our registers it is hard to remember who has what. Thank you. If you are
returning to us could we please ask you take all belongings such as cups, clothes, bags, etc home with you to wash and bring in a new lot when we return in September. Just a reminder to all those parents who have been asked to bring in costumes from the concert. Once you have them ready please bring them in ASAP, Thank you. If you haven’t yet received your child’s learning journals, please let us know as we don’t want you to forget your Harvard park memories! We are preparing our children for their transition to big school by providing them with a selection of uniforms, transition books which show images of their new schools and talking about what we can expect on our first day. We urge you to do the same. Involve them in shopping for their new lunch boxes by letting them chose, new uniform and new school shoes. On their first day, try not to get emotional in front of them and reassure them you are coming back. Be on time to pick them up too as it will be a nervous time for them. Talk about what they can expect; they will be saying goodbye to their friends from Harvard but going to make new ones at their new school. Remember to explain that all the children in their class will be feeling scared, happy but also maybe nervous so being nice and friendly with a big smile will make people feel better and they may become our friends. As we as quickly approaching our end of term parties and leavers parties, we would like you to try and practise the concert songs at home- Mr tumble hello song, We’re going to the circus, Please and thank you, Incy Wincy Spider, Frère Jacques, Mummy more, Phonics a-e plus vowels, Harvard Park’s 3 little pigs story, Frozen – let it go & goodbye song. Please ask your Keyworker for words and more information. Please could parents/carers bring in sealed fruit so we can share it during our snack time? You are doing great so keep it up! Remember they can be exotic or cultural! Summer homework for those of you coming back: - Create a summer diary of all the exciting things you do over the summer holidays! Include family events or celebrations and even those lazy dvd days. They will be put on display when they come back and then put in their all about me boxes! Have fun creating.! Just a few notes to start off the month of July: If you have borrowed clothes from the pre-school, please could you return them? We are running very low on all of our clothes especially underwear. If we are unable to change your child due to lack of clothes or if you have not provided spares, we will have to call you to come and collect them. Please it is very important that your child does not bring anything containing NUTS into the pre-school setting as we do have children and staff who have a NUT ALLERGY!!! Please inform us if your child is going to be absent from nursery due to sickness, time away or having a day off.
