News from Jeanna, Lacey, Eva, Emma, Charlotte, Asma and Sima: Topic: Mini-beasts and Transitioning to a new school. Firstly, we would like to say goodbye to all of our leavers this year. This month’s topic will be mini-beasts and growing. The children will have the opportunity to explore different activities relating to the topic such as planting, growing (plants and people), how our body grows and how to care for it, mini-beast hunts and facts on mini-beasts. For the children who are going to school we will be starting school transitions and preparing them for school ensuring a smooth transition. We will be exploring feelings as well and how we might feel about going to somewhere new and how we can handle this.
Home Mission: Over the summer holidays out and about for at least 1 hour a day! Physical development and fresh air is important so make sure even if it is a pop to the shops! Important reminders: Please do NOT park in the car park. The school have said they noticed parents parking in there when they are not meant to. Please do not do this otherwise we will have to come and monitor the gates ourselves. Please leave the gates free so larger cars and minibuses can access the gate. Thank you.
Please remember to sign your children in and out on a daily basis. We use this signing in and out sheet in an emergency evacuation. Please ensure you are using this daily. Reading Book Bags for sale: We have a library which we allow you to borrow books from
when you have a reading bag. They are yours to keep and cost £5. You are given full access to the library and also get a reading record where you can record what books you have taken and read as well as how your children reacted to them. Please see a member of staff for more details.
Labelling clothes and belongings: We have marker pens available here for you to label things
with. Please try to label as much as possible especially coats and accessories such as hats and gloves. It will prevent them from going missing or being taken home by someone who has the same set.
