Harvard Park Pre School Isleworth: June Newsletter 2015 News from the Managers, Nicki and Tracey and Deputy Manager, Natalie – We would like by saying that Danielle is now officially on maternity leave. We wish her and her family the best of luck and can’t wait to see the baby! A big thank you to all of those parents who came to our teacher / parent consultation day, it was lovely to see you and we hope you were pleased with your folders and your child’s progress. You need to let us know whether you have accepted your places at school or nursery. You are more than welcome to stay with us if your child is 3 or younger, but again you need to let us know of your decision. If you have also read your child’s report from us, please could you comment and sign it so we can photo copy one as we need it for our records. You will also be able to keep a copy yourself. We are not receiving enough fruit or veg for your children at snack time  we do ask for a donation of at least one piece of fruit from each child for their snack and to share with others. Please apply sun cream to your child before they start their session. We do have some here however it is in short supply. We do spend a lot of time outside so could you please bring in a sun hate with your child’s name. You may have been informed that your child is entitled to a free Bookstart treasure bag. Please bring in you red book so that we can sign it off and give you one of these extra special bags! Rashid, Josephine, Anotnia, James, Oliver, Jayden, Dian, Austin, Jaden, Samira, Summer, Inaya, Jojo Janaye and Javon; you are all entitled to one so please bring in those red books! The week of Monday 6th July, will be the week where you receive your child’s learning journals if they are heading off to school or nursery. Our practitioners have been working very hard on these over your child’s time at nursery. Unfortunately due to ratios and our numbers, this will be a brief handover of their journal along with artwork and things from around the room, either at drop off time of pick up.

News from Natalie, Danielle, Dee, Seema, Rosa, Jeanna, Marilyn, Sian, Lacey, Amy and Anusha: Our theme for this month will be all about the people who help us. We will be exploring the idea of different occupations using props and dressing up outfits to aid our children’s learning and imagination; creating our own emergency vehicles when junk modelling and during creative activities; looking at how different people can help us and what makes them different from each other and trying to spot emergency vehicles or people who help us on our way to preschool or at preschool. Please send in family photos. Some of our family trees are looking a t little bit bare. You can send them via email and we will print them, or bring in the originals and we will scan them and give the originals back to you. It is an important part of their learning so please send us some! If we are not receiving them, we will have to start taking photo’s at pick up or drop off times. Make sure you are checking tables for artwork which is being sent home, of the next 2 months, there will be lot coming home as we are preparing for the end of the school year. We will also start talking about our new schools and starting the transition process for their move to school/nursery.
