We wish her the best of luck for the future. Charlotte will be taking her position for the foreseeable future. We would also like to welcome Sima to our Harvard Park Team! We have had a little change around with key-workers so if you are unsure of who your child’s key-worker is or will be, please come and see us. We will try to catch as many of you as possible. We would also like to say happy birthday to Natalie for this month, we hope you have a lovely day! Lastly, we would like to wish all of our mummies, sisters, aunties, grandmothers and other female figures in our lives a very happy Mother’s Day for the 31st of this month. We hope you have a lovely relaxing day!

World Book Day – Thursday 7th March!

We will be having a day all about books, encourage your child to dress up as their favourite book character and bring in the story to share with us. Our Practitioner’s will be dressing up as well and sharing their favourite stories through a range of activities planned for the day. You can pick up costumes from local stores such as Asda or Matalan or you can use apps such as Pinterest to get creative and make one of your own! We can’t wait to see your outfits 

The weather is forever changing, please dress your child for the weather and the temperature.

Although it may look sunny, please consider what the shade temperature will be like. Also, please can we request that you do not send your child in slippers. They need to have appropriate footwear as we are going to be going out for daily walks.

URGENT: Health and Safety issue – Do NOT open the main door

We must ask you not to open the main door to the setting. Please knock or ring the bell and a member of staff will come and open it for you. Please respect this as it is a child protection issue. We need to be aware of who is in the building. We will be reminding you if we see you doing this. Thank you

URGENT: Health and Safety issue – NO Nuts or nut products in Lunch Boxes

We have a child and a member of staff with a severe nut allergy. This is airborne so we are asking you not to provide any form of nuts or nut products in lunch boxes. This is things such as peanut butter in sandwiches, pine nuts in pesto and also in snack bars. There are not exceptions. Also, a small reminder that we are unable to heat up lunches. Please make sure you are providing food which does not need to be heated, thank you.

Nursery School applications:

If your child was born was born between 1 September 2015 and 31 August 2016 they can start in the nursery class of one of our schools in September 2019. These applications must be made online via https://www.hounslow.gov.uk/info/20028/primary_admissions/74/nursery_admissions . Closing dates for the submission of these applications is 3RD May 2019. If you need further assistance, please come and see Natalie and she will help and advise as much as she can.

A message about bottles and Juice

Firstly, please label your bottles. If you need us to use a marker pen to do so, just say but we need your permission to do this. Secondly, we will start to not accept juice in bottles such as fruit shoots and only accept water. There are large amounts of sugar in small bottles of juice, children are offered water and milk during the session which is a much better alternative for their health and their teeth. If your child comes in with a bottle of juice, we will be putting it in the kitchen for your child to have at the end of the day and your child will be encouraged to drink water during the session. (This does not include juice at lunch time). We are thinking of the child’s dental health as well as their physical health.

A note to all parents whose children have comforters such as dummies:

Once your child has completed their settling in sessions, they may no longer need their comforter. We do discourage the use of them in the setting as dummies can have a profound effect of the child’s ability to comminute. Can we kindly ask you that you avoid bringing dummies in where possible? We understand that this

can be a worry but be reassured that they do not use them whilst in the setting.
