Harvard Park Pre School Isleworth November Newsletter 2014. News from the Managers Nicki and Tracey and deputy manager, Natalie – SOMETHING NEW – From this month we will be introducing Holly and Harvey Bear who come with home diaries. These bears will come home with your children at weekends and holiday times when they have made excellent choices at Pre School. The idea is that you take photos send them to info@harvardparkpreschool.co.uk and we will print them and you write in the diary what they have done or been to see over your holiday or weekends. We have been doing this for a while at Day Nursery and Mikey the Monkey has travelled to different countries and having great holidays but unfortunately he has gone missing – so if your child is chosen to look after either Harvey or Holly please keep them safe and return after each weekend or holiday period – we hope they have some lovely adventures especially with Bonfire Night and Christmas coming.

Just a few notes to start off the month of November:• Please be on time when dropping and collecting your child as the gate is now being locked on time for safety measures • Remember to park AWAY from the school gates at all times when dropping and collecting your children • Remember the weather has changed and we do still go outside to play – children need hats and gloves and a very warm coat for outside play all named please!!! • Be reminded if you tell a member of staff your child is not well enough to go outside unfortunately they are not well enough to come to Pre School • Please encourage your children to find their own pegs and hang up their coats. • Thank You for helping us out at Home Times by waiting in small groups to come in – we hope this has solved the congestion for you all. • We would love parents/carers/grandparents to come and have some play sessions during our sessions ie story time, group times to share experiences or special books from home or even song time. Book in with Natalie if you would like to do this. • Always sign your children in when you arrive its saves lots of time when doing our registers – valuable playing and learning time.

DATES FOR YOUR DIARY:• Wear it Pink Day 4th November – wear pink all day and pay £1 donate cakes and buy cakes!! If you are not in and we have cakes to sell the next day here’s your chance to support Breast Cancer as well • PHOTO DAYS – For all morning children the photographer will be here from 8.00 until 11.30 on 5TH NOVEMBER (if it is not your child’s day please book

with Natalie if you want to bring them in for just the photo. Great idea for Christmas Presents!!! For all afternoon children the photographer - same as above but from 12 – 4 on 6th NOVEMBER!!!!

Notes from the Team:Autumn Activities will be going on in the next 4 weeks if go for walks with your children collect leaves etc and bring them in and we will do sticking, leaf painting and talking in groups about Autumn. The theme this term will be Keeping Safe because of Bonfire Night, this will carry on throughout the month, safety around the house and crossing the roads – your mission at home is to carry this through and support us by talking while out with your children or travelling to and from pre school. Big well done to all your parents who have been encouraging either walking or riding to pre-school! Less buggies is better for us as we have lack of storage as you can see. To avoid upset or confusion everything should be clearly labelled with your child’s name. Also remember once you collect your child from their groups they are your responsibility so DO NOT let them push the door handle to let themselves out. ADULTS ONLY!!!!!!

We would like to wish a very Happy Birthday to Anokh, Dheer, Dian, Ojas, Swarup, Osman, Casey and Eliza we hope you all have a lovely day!!!!! Also to our new member of staff Anusha. Please could parents/ carers bring in fruit so we can share it during our snack time? You are doing great so keep it up!  We have noticed that some parents are still parking next to parked cars outside the school gates please do not do this! PLEASE REFRAIN FROM USING THE STAFF CAR PARK AT ANYTIME EVEN IF THE BARRIER IS UP/THEY DO HAVE CAMERAS AND HARVARD PARK DO GET INTO TROUBLE IF OUR PARENTS ARE SEEN DRIVING IN. THANK YOU Can parents please join our Facebook site as we are trialling our news letters on our new site to save our trees! Just type in Harvard Park Pre-school and Day Nursery and we should pop up! We regularly update this with pictures, messages and notices. We will of course print of a few copies to those parents who do not have access to a computer. We will also display a copy on our parents table.
