It is a great opportunity for you to enjoy a coffee and some lovely cakes (that we ask you to make some to share), as well as meet some other mums that you may not have met. This is a child free morning and will give you some time to relax. Just a reminder about buggies and pushchairs; Where possible, 2 years olds can travel in an umbrella buggy but please fold it and store it in the correct place. If your child is 3 years or older, we will ask you to take the buggy home with you. At this age, they should not really be travelling in the buggy as it will impact on their psychical development. News from Natalie, Dee, Eva, Rosa, Jeanna, Marilyn, Sian, Lacey, Amy and Anusha: Hello, Our topic this month will still be sensory investigation and getting to know you, the children will be taking part in focus activities throughout the nursery and exploring the outside area for different materials that have different textures. The children will be doing a lot of messy play activities to again explore the texture of different things from porridge or beans. Getting to know you is all about finding out the children’s interests, likes and dislikes so we are able to plan for them to help them develop. We will also be doing this by doing different focus activities and role groups throughout the nursery, all of which provide new learning. New children will be getting to know their key worker and spending some time together throughout the day so they can form a bond. Please send in family photos. Some of our family trees are looking a little bit bare. You can send them via email and we will print them, or bring in the originals and we will scan them and give the originals back to you. It is an important part of their learning so please send us some! If we are not receiving them, we will have to start taking photo’s at pick up or drop off times. Mission of the month: - Create your all about me boxes and bring them in. If you are unsure about what these are, please ask your keyworker. Just a few notes to start of the month of October:• Please can we ask that you provide fruit which is sealed? For example, a bag of apples or a bag of satsumas. Due to a change in Health and Food Safety regulations, fruit needs
