Harvard Park Pre-School Isleworth: September Newsletter 2018 News from the Managers, Nicki and Tracey – We would like to start by welcoming all of our new children and their families to Harvard Park. This is our monthly newsletter which holds information about upcoming events, topics and other notices we would like to remind you about. These can be read three ways: Via Facebook, the EyLog and via your personal emails. We have a few paper copies available too. We would also like to welcome Shamim and Asma to our Harvard Park team. Charlotte will be returning to Harvard Park Pre-School, later in the year as she is helping over at day nursery. Some children will have a new keyworker too. Over the next few weeks, you will be introduced to your keyworker if they have changed. We would like to also congratulate Jeanna and Natalie on their promotions. Natalie is now our Deputy manager and Jeanna is now our room leader, well done ladies! No hot lunches as of September: We no longer have the facility to heat up lunches. Please provide a healthy packed lunch for your child. Please be aware that if you provide your child with a warm meal such as pasta or rice, we cannot heat these up. If you need any suggestions as to what could be provided as a cold packed lunch, please let us know and we will give you our guideline. Also just a reminder – no nuts please, this includes in snack bars or sandwiches. Wednesday 10th October: Our Photographer is here! Please note that our photographer, Karen will be here to do our Christmas photo’s. If this is not your day please book a time slot with us, similar if you want sibling shots. We will remind you closer to the time. Please label your belongings: As a pre-school, children are bound to have the same or similar bottles, items of clothes, coats and bags. To prevent confusion and losing belongings, please label ALL items with your child’s name. This does include bags and coats. Settling in: We know this can be an unsettling time for everyone especially if your child has not been in a settling before. There are a few things you can do to help this. - Create an all about me box, place some photos inside for your child to look at if they are feeling sad. - Always reassure them that you are coming back. Try not to cry or show upset in front of them as it can make them anxious and try not to hang around for too long. - And on pick up reassure them again by saying see I will always come back! Remember, you may think your child will be upset or will not care but they will always suppose you so do not worry if they don’t react how you expect Contact forms, payments and Invoices: Please return your contact forms. This applies to all new and current children too. We need to re-sign and re-confirm your consent for a few things. Please send this back electronically ASAP we will be chasing you for them soon. We are currently working on invoices so please give us another week or so to email these out to you. Please also be aware that there has been a slight charge increase which you were all emailed and informed about. We are now asking that you pay at the beginning of each term in advance NOT in arrears. Thank You
