Harvard Park Day Nursery Feltham: September Newsletter 2018 News from the Managers, Nicki and Tracey and Deputy Manager, Carol – Firstly, welcome to all the new parents who have joined us over the last couple of months. Our newsletter is here to provide you with information from your child’s room as well as reminders from the Harvard Park Team. These can be accessed three ways: Facebook, EyLog and through your personal emails. We have a folder available which will hold a paper copy too. We would like to wish Sam and Katie a very happy birthday for this month. We would also like to say a sad goodbye to a lot of our leavers who are heading off on their new educational journeys! We would like to thank you for all the support and co-operation over the years and you are a very valued part of our Harvard Park history. Sonia will also be heading off on her maternity leave at the beginning of this month. Alicja will be looking after her key-children in Freedom zone and we would like to welcome her to the team. Best of luck Sonia and we can’t wait to meet the little one! We also have to sadly say goodbye to Marilyn, who has been with us for 5 years and is now moving onto pastures new. Thank you for all your work and co-operation over the years, we will miss you.
Check your emails and send back the contact details! We have sent our new contact information which needs to be filled in by all new and current parents. Please check your emails, fill this in and return it to us via email. This is very important as there are lots of changes in there which we need your consent for.

EyLog for Leavers: We will soon be making your child’s profiles inactive. You are still able to access these for up to a year so it is plenty of time to download or order a prodcut from them. Please ensure you have the latest version of the app downloaded to be able to order a product and have it delivered right to your doorstep! If you are unsure about this please come and see Carol or Amy for more information.
Children are allowed to get messy: Here are Harvard Park we pride ourselves on the experiences we give our children. This includes lots of messy play and sesory investigation. We have attached a copy of the importnace of getting messy along with this newsletter. Please be aware that we do say do not put your child in their best clothes. We do provide protective clothing such as aprons however these sometimes fail. Food on faces we understand, on clothes however this is all a learning curve.
Please bring back our spares: If you have borrowed any spare clothes including shoes which have HP written on them in black marker, can you please kindly retun them. We are running low on some of our resoruces such as socks, shoes and trousers. Please return and check your belonings to see if they are ours, thank you.

News from Baby Studio – Simran, Mary, Nabila, Roshelle and Amanda: We would like to welcome Reya, Rahas and Aliya into our room! Focus: Communication and Language
Home Mission:
Our focus for this month is Communication and language. We will be planning lots of small group activities which will encourage the children to imitate simple words used every day. We will be using our knock knock box and song bags on a daily basis which will help develop vocabulary and communication, both verbally and non-verbally and through simple gestures. These activities will help the children communicate towards other children and with practitioners.
Practise one song per week with your child to encourage language development. Use props and signs if possible to extend play!
Other reminders: •
Please sign your child in and out of the building – this is very important!
• Please note that the formula the nursery provides is first infant milk which is designed for babies aged 0-6 months. After this your child should preferably move onto stage 2 formula then gradually onto cows’ or alternative milk such as soya after one year.
