Amy Pfeffer Orchard Buffalo
Mrs. Pfeffer is also an active volunteer in her community in addition to her professional duties. In light of her work with children and teenagers, she has a strong desire to help others find innovative and healthy ways to spend their time. Currently, she serves as a mentor for the Veterans Court in Niagara Falls and Buffalo. With Orchard Park Little League, she volunteered as a softball and tee ball coach, and she also worked as a crisis hotline operator for Crisis Services. She developed an appreciation and respect for the sacrifices made by members of the United States armed forces throughout her time in the service. To show her appreciation for their service, she serves as a peer mentor in the Buffalo and Niagara County Veteran Courts. Through Project Odyssey, she has also taken part in a photography program for military veterans. This is a program for veterans' mental health that helps them overcome the invisible wounds they may have experienced during their time in battle by helping them build happy and productive situations where they may thrive and develop strong resilience abilities. After completing this program, Amy continues to work with the original creator to help other veterans.
