Urban Landscape A graphic created for the Central Coast Low Impact Development Initiative (LIDI) to represent the flow and impact that urban runoff has to the environment, and the potential for a harmonious relationship by utilizing LIDI components.

Didot & Bodoni For Introduction to Typography, our class got into groups of three and researched two similar typefaces. We focused on their differences and similarities as well as their usage in the design world. The team consisted of Sammy Ness, Ariel Cheng, and myself. I was in charge of overall layout and feel and color choice. The ďŹ nal image is from an interior by Coco Lapine Design.

Cubesat Conference Branding and graphic design for Cal Poly SLO’s Cubesat 11th annual conference. Posters, sweaters, and laser cut luminaries were created for the event. “The CubeSat Project is an international collaboration of over 40 universities, high schools, and private firms developing picosatellites.”

40 Years A history book created to celebrate Cal Poly SLO’s Landscape Architecture department’s 40th anniversary. Editorial design and cover was designed to showcase growth and historic achievements within the department. Written and compiled by professor Christy O’Hara.

Topologics Topologics is a series of modular furniture inspired by natural topographic forms. The furniture provides social gathering spaces as well as contemplative spaces. The team consisted of Jing He, Kyle Geyer, and An Vo. The results of this project actively represents the culmination of our knowledge to design and implement within a collaborative platform.

Cloud Study An installation inspired by Erwan and Ronan Bouroullec’s work Clouds for Kvadrat for SWA Group’s front lobby entrance. The modules were laser cut from grey chipboard, then the edges were spraypainted. Each module is attached with small rubber bands, allowing for easy installation, transportation, and take down.

Alphabet Topography A study of letter frequency in the Portuguese language, with the most usage projected by the height of the letter in the physical model. Created with AutoCAD, Rhino, and the laser cutter with partner; Samantha Plete.

Eskimo Kisses A packaging design created in collaboration with Industrial Technology students for a chocolate box competition. This project was awarded People’s Choice at the Pack Expo 2013 in Las Vegas for the student division.

Sketchbook A collection of ink sketches documenting adventures during the summer of 2013 in an architecture study abroad program based in Torino, Italy along with watercolors completed during the school year featuring Alexander McQueen’s Savage Beauty collection.
