JARANA
‘‘ruido que produce gente que se divierte o pelea’’ This year we went to Spain, the country of warm sunsets and enchanted music. I have to say that Spain ‘’me encanta’’ since I was a little girl, it is difficult to not fall in love for spanish traditions, songs and love stories. Because Spain is such a big country, we decided to go south, to the amazing Andalucia, the land of endless beaches, lost in time white villages, marvellous people and vibrant streets and plazas. The terraces and patios are covered from the most fascinating arabic mosaics to the most colourful flowers and plants. This collection is named after the spanish word Jarana, it is usual to use the expression ‘’están de jarana’’ when you hear people talking loud, singing and dancing in the street, and this is what I’m so passionate about this people, the joy, the laughter and the guitar players and dancers in the streets, no matter if it’s winter or summer. There’s something magical in the noise, the music, the yellow nightlights and smells of some spanish grandma cooking in the kitchen with her window opened. Feels like summer and joy. Therefore, each piece of our summer collection is named after a story or memory of Spain. This collection is divided in 2 parts, the plain bright swimwear representing Spain by day and the glittery swimwear representing Spain by night. Our materials are 100% Italian and certified. Our lycra respects the Sensite Eco System, reducing waste and the use of water and chemicals in its production. Our Amapola print is made in Recycled Polyester from PET plastic. Our linen is organic or bio produced in Portugal or Spain. Every piece is designed and made in our atelier.
