“An idea is like a virus. resilient.highly contagious. The smallest seed of

tion collected and new ideas generated. Subsequently, in the surrounding buildings, those ideas will then be matured, researched and developed.
So how would you differ between insanity and geniality? How would “insane” people act if there was a place with no constraints? A place without prejudice, where every man felt free to be himself, to let go? A place where one could truly feel understood?
It is a retreat, a place designed for people who need a break from the constructs of society, where they are judged because they think creatively, seen as different, as crazy. It is a place where one can be creative or active in order to clear the mind and be truly open and perceptive to new ideas. It is a zone of inspiration, an idea hatchery, where negative energy is converted into positive one and the insane are finally percepted as sane and fitting in.
The “Geisteswerkstatt” is a building located in Esch-Belval in Luxembourg, taking over an otherwise structured, characterless place like a nesting virus. Over time, the “Geisteswerkstatt” begins to interact with the surrounding buildings which become “infected” as the ideas grow and come to life, forming connections between them. The “Geisteswerkstatt” is the starting point of a process. In the right environment, the visitors’ emotional turmoil can be released, inspira-

02.Interior and design // LEGDIEINI To the students of the School Rosenhรถhe in Bielefeld, the hallway is one of the most valubal spaces. As they see a great opportunity in emphasising its highly frequent use, corners for reading and communication, working areas and relaxation are demanded. In collaboration with a pedagogy student we were asked to remodel the corridor and tried to fulfill the designs of students. Our design has been planned so that it can be executed with the children. However, it has the advantage that it can also be customized for any person and a piece of furniture can be created from each line.

02.Hochbau Master // Inns’Grüne “Land runoff” and “lack of space”, as well as “superfood” and “green footprint” are terms, which today more and more people have to deal with. Innsbruck is not excluded. We have developed a Vertical-farming-tower, in order to counter precisely the mentioned conflicts. The vertical crop cultivation brings in many ways only positive aspects. Thanks to the support of renewable energies systems, the consumption contingent of the building can be significantly reduced. In addition to the location, also a surrounding market structure was designed to create a new meeting place for everyone. The green is to return to the city, the urban hustle and bustle should pause.

02.studio souk // Oase7.2 Through concept generation, iterative modelling and programming Souk studio seeks to appropriate the Souk–the traditional market place of Arabic commercial activity–to create a contemporary concept for a Souk in the city of Innsbruck.
The Souk studio is sited on the Vaz Hafen site. The focus of the program was to develop a series of micro-industries that applies the skills and knowledge of asylum seekers to allow for their integration into the commercial, social and cultural fabric of Innsbruck.
European Government and NGOs continue to address the vast amount of asylum seekers fleeing warzones and economic hardship from their own countries and making their way to Europe for a better life–free of war. Whilst most European government’s provide accommodation, food and basic medical facilities the ability to become economically independent for full integration into European societies needs addressing. Many asylum seekers come to Europe with varying professional, trade and craft based skills that are not been fully utilized or integrated into the societies in which they are now living.
This integration was devised as a two-way street: 1. The asylum seekers become part of the economy but also offer language and cultural exchange with the people of Innsbruck. 2. The City and people of Innsbruck offer a diversity of support in order to create the environment in which to build the integration.

02. bookproject // mobile architecture The Avantgarde in Austria was a time of progress and radical change. Architects and artists wanted to find new, creative ways to refuel architecture with fresh energy and life. Especially in Austria, the Avantgarde was an important movement. They were pioneers of a revolutionary artistic and architectural development. Projects from all over the world, especially their mobility, were analyzed and compared in our work. Artists such as Hans Hollein, Walter Pichler or Coop Himmelblau dealt with mobile architec-
ture. However, not only in Austria, this aspect has been examined. Other architects such as the French group Utopie or the British group Archigram tried to find an answer to it. The stationary architecture should be transformed into a nomadic, mobile architecture. By using pneumatic elements, the architects and artist of the Avantgarde created a more modern and mobile form of architecture. Some of the architecture groups at that time considered a new nomadic lifestyle and worked on some details like flexibility and adaptability within

02. bookproject // mobile architecture their projects. New technologies and new materials like synthetics were used for innovativ creations.
Because of the political, depressed post-war situation, the architect and artists of the Avantgarde basically tried to invent new objects and architectures that gave the humans the possibility to think about their lifestyles and overthink their habits. Although some of these projects in all categories were more hypothetical and not really build, the architects wanted to spice up people’s life with new energy and mobility by fading out certain aspect of living like permanence and safety and replacing them with curiosity and search. It was not the intention to create mobile architecture but more a mobile way of living for human beings. The Austrians were noticeably focusing more on the human body and on being mentally mobile than on physical mobility and urbanistic concepts.
Beside pneumatic objects, artist and architects of the Avantgarde concentrated on creating interesting architecture in form of helmets. These helmets are characterized by independence and flexibility, because they could be easily brought from one place to another. Each of these helmets had different origins. Urban and infrastructural ideas have also been developed in the Avantgarde. War situations and the will to survive were motivating architects to make specific designs for these circumstances. They were interested in creating urban designs adapting to new lifestyles.

03. festival des cabanes This project was deisgned for the „festival des cabanes 2007“ in Luxembourg. More than 100 groups participated and 35 projects were built. „Le Monde à l‘envers“ expresses the desire to go beyond reality to acquire an imaginary world, the world upside down. The colors, black and white, reflect the contrast of the outsideworld; the reality imposed by society, and the insideworld; the surrealism of our own world inside the cabin. The shape of the cube was chosen for its simplicity, because in our dreams, in our imaginary worlds everything seems easier. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s5CJdNmPmlQ

03.uIBK to go Every big university nowadays has an app for smartphones, unfortunately Innsbruck doesn‘t have one. So in order to better represent our university we started to develop a concept and layout for „uIBK to go“. Finally we decided to participate in the competition „App Wettbewerb 2015“ and won the 4-16 place. here a little video of our app: https://vimeo.com/126073742

03. Campus Technik „Campus technology“ is obsolete and does not optimally exploit the potential of the given space. A reconstruction is launched. As students, we were able to participate in the competition and express our requirements and wishes. In our proposal a new place is to be created, which brings out the nature of Tyrol, in various subject areas.

03. Virtual Reality // Wander throught thoughts The focus of this project was finding ways to modify a physical object by intangible elements, to develope a set of ethereal interventions at the Steinhaus of Günther Domenig through multiple artistic methods, based on the analysis of the house and the essence of its details. Just as Domenig tried to give his memories a form, „Wander through thoughts“ is an attempt to „build“ the thoughts, a short film that represents a journey through the intimate world of thought. The main actress, who carries a mirror box on her head, remembers the city of Innsbruck, peaceful and stressful moments. The mirror box, which spatially changes the built environment, separates the real world from the perceived world, its own perception of reality, the virtual reality.
