RE-DESIGN OF THE 15E TRAM
Box for the wheels
Orion is a tram designed for the user: sustainable, smart, light and safe. Considering its route and a highly touristic target group, the tram is composed by three carriages with different purposes: the first one allows for a panoramic view, the central one is modular and the last one has a balcony for sightseeing. There are 45 seats and 120 standing spots.

SMART VASE SPEAKING FOR YOUR PLANT
MAIN FUNCTIONS PH Indicates when the soil is due for a change Temperature Alert of high or low temperature Ultrasonic Measures the water level in the reservoir
Nurturing a plant demands a range of different cares: they need water, nutrients, proper lighting, the right temperature... Many users don’t know how to identify what the plant needs, or they have no time to go through a learning process. Growr is a vase with sensors (humidity, temperature, and PH) that communicates the plant’s needs through a multicolor LED and waters the plant whenever necessary.
Humidity Activates automatic watering system

BOB
THE VERSATILE SEAT FOR THE LITTLE ONES The Bob project started with the goal of designing a furniture piece for children made from organic, natural materials. The outcome was a seat to be used either by itself or as a matching set, versatile enough to be used as a toy and with storage space inside. The final prototype was built from pine wood and cork and tested with great success by the little ones.

À BEIRA
A hole to fit a carabiner, fabric or rope, in order to secure the bottle to bags or backpacks. Standardised sealed lid, possible to be changed for a standardised sports lid.
BOTTLES FOR ÁGUAS DO PORTO À Beira is a double set of bottles - one is HDPE plastic and the other is transparent glass. The purpose of the bottles is to be reutilised, in order to encourage the comsuption of water from the tap, which in Portugal is almost all potable. As such, the smaller of the two was designed for easy carrying and proximity with the user, to be re-filled anywhere.
Hook shape, to allow for ease of transportation on one’s pockets.
Both bottles present the branding image of Águas do Porto in bas-relief.

STAGE
TEDXLISBOA 2015, ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM For this TEDxLisboa 2015 event, the visual branding of the theme “Elephant in the Room” was developed first, and only after was the stage designed. Since the organisation has no intended profit, one of the goals was to create everything for a low budget. This is why most of the temporary stage was built manually.

DESIGNING AN IDEAL COOKING HAVEN
The three selected examples were chosen from a wide range of kitchens designed for private clients, for the duration of an internship at MOB. Every kitchen was designed according to clients’ preferences and requirements - assessed during 1-to-1 conversations - utilising the available space in the best possible way and the varied materials available within the company’s catalogue.

ALLERSCan
There was a long process to this project:
INCLUSIVE DESIGN FOR ALLERGIC USERS
This concept was designed as an inclusive service for users with food allergies and other food-related restrictions. After conducting a study with potential users, it was obvious there was extreme difficulty when deciphering the ingredients lists. By scanning the barcode on any product, the app would present the allergens under the form of easily understandable pictograms, speeding the search for specific ones.

INCLUSIVE DESIGN FOR ALLERGIC USERS
Food products sold at everyday supermarkets are sometimes altered by the manufacturers, who will every so often change the ingredient lists without warning. The app would be dependent on user feedback, every user having the possibility to send an ingredient change alert if the product page were not up to date. This would later be verified by competent sources and amended on the app. Work developed for:

No.1 - MINING THEMED PLAY AREA
INSPIRING ALL GENERATIONS
My experience at HAGS Playgrounds as a Play Space Designer has taught me a great deal about (literally) designing for fun. The goal is to create engaging, diverse and enjoyable experiences for children of all ages, so they can develop their social, cognitive and physical skills in a safe environment. The challenge? Understanding what the customer is looking for and what budget they have, then design a play area that will surpass all expectations.
This bespoke multi-unit was inspired by an old Welsh colliery, using several pictures dating back to the 1900’s. Work developed for:
