What to Do If Your Home Isn't Selling Let's face it, you have decided to sell your home, and you have done everything for sale to happen - invested your time, effort & money. You waited for many days, weeks & months only to be disappointed not to get any offers. Should you give up on your house sale? Definitely No.! There are plenty of buyers looking out for a home, and they might end up buying yours if you make a good preparation & few compromises.

Here are the alternatives you can take if you aren't able to sell the home: 1. Refresh Your Ads: If you have posted an ad (with good pictures & description) in classified sites like Olx & Quikr, remember to update them regularly. You can update the same ad daily on Olx platform; however, Quikr doesn't allow the advertiser to do so. A regular update will get your ad to the top spot in their sites under respective categories. 2. Change Your Price: Price is one among the deciding factor for home purchase. Unrealistic pricing will only keep the buyers away. So, price the home in such a way that it benefits not only the seller but the buyer too. Let the pricing be based on the market value of the property, the location of your home, home condition amongst others. 3. Take a Break From the Market: If your home is on the market for a long time, the buyers will think that there is something wrong with the property; hence they'll avoid it. Buyers will use your sorry state and start

negotiating with dirt cheap prices. Lastly, buyers will ignore your ad because they have seen it often. If you can afford, taking a break for a few months can help you out. Once you are back, you might have new buyers whom you haven't come across. 4. Adjust the Condition of Your Home: A real estate agent can give you feedback on your home or inquire the buyer for turning the offer. Figure out if there's any renovation required - changing the color of the house, adding the furniture, having a small garden, etc. are small changes that can improve the odds of your home sale. 5. Work with a Reputable Agent: Hiring a reputable real estate agent is not an expense but an investment to get your job done. So choose one who is experienced, reliable & has a good reputation. If required, carry out preliminary research on the agent before hiring. Get to know their experience, marketing plan, commision, etc. If possible, hire an agent who is familiar with your location.
